Seabirds Kitchen, Long Beach CA

Incredibly unique menu of vegetarian delights. Nice staff, and reasonably quick service.
Bit pricey for the portions and overall experience but hey, it’s hip.

I'm disappointed that I have to write this review. Until November of last year, I’d order from Seabirds Kitchen a couple times a month. Occasionally, I would dine-in when hosting friends from out of town. I loved the food because of its inventive approach to plant-based meals. Everything tasted as good as it looked.

The last time I ordered takeout from Seabirds Kitchen, I found a piece of glass while eating a salad. I called the restaurant that evening to report the incident. An employee told me to call the next day when a manager was present. I followed up as directed to resolve the situation. I learned that a dish had broken while preparing the food. I was told I’d receive a refund and a credit for a future meal after emailing order information and a picture of the glass. I received the refund within a week of speaking to a manager but haven’t received an update about the credit.

I would love to give Seabirds another chance but don’t plan to until the situation is resolved.

I love Seabirds and always make a concerted effort to stop by every time I'm in town. I love the bibimbap bowl is my favorite and go to item. And I always get the brussel sprouts too. Highly recommend it!

Meh, luke warm stuffed shells marinara sauce had good flavor but likely sat in the window and got cold. Avg spaghetti squash special w/ tasteless lemon caper sauce or lack there of. 3 capers in our dish? Sad. We won't be back.

Tried the chilaquiles rojos and tacos, both of which were delicious. The crispy tortilla chips and the flavorful pomegranate in the tacos stood out, providing a delightful blend of textures and tastes. Also enjoyed the tasty biscuit, which added a unique touch to the meal. Generous portions made for a satisfying dining experience.

I was in need of a quick vegan lunch and Seabirds Kitchen did that. I had 1 each of the tacos and they were delicious, especially the avocado and mushroom. The kimchi taco was interesting, it was cold so it didn’t really work for me. But overall, it was really good and it had lots of options too!

Not a vegetarian, but the food was delicious! Reasonably priced, delicious food, nice beer selection, good service. I'll be back!

I enjoyed this place. Looking for a vegan restaurant where you can go and get a vegan meal. This place has the goods.

I’ve been wanting to check out Seabirds for a long time and my first visit did not disappoint! The food was awesome, I devoured a huge plate of chilaquiles and we shared some awesome fried pickles. But what really made this place outstanding was the service. Everyone was so friendly, a few people came to check on us and made sure we were promptly helped, and our server Kenny was such a delight. Can’t wait to come back and try more awesome food!

Friendly, chill, and hip little restaurant. I get purple taquitos, they are perfectly crunchy and melty and the dipping sauce is just the right amount of spicy.:) I used to get the pasta dish that was amazing, but they stopped making it.: (The staff is always kind and can give good recommendations. Great food, although pricey. They have a rewards program that is actually decent, but still expensive in the mean time. There are a few outdoor tables, but almost all employees don't wear masks anymore.

If I could give you more stars, I would. I love the atmosphere, the service, but most importantly, food is absolutely delicious.

Playmeite’s back! This time went to one of my go to spots in Long Beach. Plates are fairly priced for vegan food, and a good vibe.

There’s outdoor and indoor seating as well. Staff is also super happy and great. I appreciate that to top off some great food.

I had some chickpea masala soup, purple potato taquito, and a mushroom taco.

They also serve bowls if you don’t want anything fried. And types of salads.

Or burgers etc.but in general just a nice little variety!

My friend did a vegan grilled cheese with tomato soup. She loved it!

Street parking. I appreciated getting lucky near the front. But def can be a slight mission with all other businesses around.

I was a bit apprehensive about going to a Vegan restaurant because I'm not vegan and wasn't sure if I'd like the food and it is a bit pricey. I tried the BBQ burger and Jackfruit nachos and actually they both were really good. They do close at 9 pm on a Saturday which also caught me by surprise but overall it was nice.

Great vegan restaurant. Super great menu. Delicious food. Super friendly service. Give it a try.

If you are in the Long Beach area and feel like vegan food then Seabirds Kitchen should be at the top of your list.

We didn't have a lot of time but the service was quick and friendly and the food was excellent!

Everything was absolutely amazing.we got a couple of plates and the best for us was the grilled cheese and tomato soup (i swear even a non vegan would thoroughly enjoy this) the jackfruit nachos were amazing and the Brussel sprouts.soo good.great presentation and great service and nice vibe.you should enjoy a meal here!

Excellent food, loved by my entire non-vegan family (5 people) as well as the 2 vegans! Would have liked the portions to be a bit larger, but it worked out alright. I really liked that they ask if you want utensils for take out, which we didn't, so this decreases waste. Food wasn't overly salty, and seemed to be of high quality. We ordered the following items: BBQ burger, regular burger, mushroom taco, fried avocado taco, breakfast burrito, local bowl, warm cauliflower, purple taquitos (there are only 2 in one order though), and the chaffle. Burgers were very tasty! Will return for sure! So glad to have this fantastic vegan restaurant not too far away for any occasion!

The jackfruit nachos, and purple taquitos were tasty. The cauliflower ceviche, and peach crumble were bland. Great service.
