Seacliff State Beach Parking and Campground reviews
17Sadly, the campground was destroyed in the January 2023 storms. California State Parks is evaluating what to do next. The beach is open for walking and the very small parking lot next to the visitor center is open. Most of those spots are for people with disabilities.
Diane and Maurice at the front desk are rude and they blatantly lied about their conversation with me. My van has a cassette toilet and that is not allowed in this park. After allowing me in and after I completely set up I was told I had to leave. They were rude. I am disabled and things are not easy for me. Now I get to sleep on the street? I am writing a letter to their superiors.
Also Craig came and talk to me at my van and he was more than rude he was antagonistic. I asked him for the names of the two people at the front desk and he politely refused to give it to me. Isn’t this a state park? These people are acting as if it’s their personal business. I would like someone to contact me regarding my visit.
$10 day use fee. Beautiful beach with pier. The bathrooms could use a little upkeep and cleaning. Come early as this place fills up fast especially on the weekends.
It's ok. A bunch of elderly folks walking around their dogs. Not much to look at. Place could also use quite a bit of TLC with the facilities and available park tables and benches.
Got lucky and there was a cancelation for a two night stay. We booked it immediately. It is very hard to get a spot with hookups here. I hate the price of gas but it may bring more cancellations. This beach just brings the BP down as soon as you get there. One of my happy places.
This is a Great place to just relax and enjoy your surroundings. End of April, whales everywhere.
View was spectacular, bathrooms were maintained, campsite was perfect! Will definitely be coming back!
Stayed three nights and couldn't be more delighted. Great views and great neighbors. Will come here again.
Like others says they expect you to have a brand new +100k rv to be welcome on this state park. The woman at the entrance was totally disgusting because I paid one dollar in coins that she dropped to the floor and expected me to get down of my rv to give her back. No thank youuuu!
The boat is the best part of. O ing here, it go south n you get into autos beach…less crowded n enjoyable view of Monterey.
Seacliff is a culture in its own, friendly people walking up and down a walking path or the beach. I love the interaction but my wife likes it a bit quieter. Dry camping or full hook ups if you like camping near the beach, go here.
Very chill location, a short walk down their cliff stairs will enter the beachfront with tables and restrooms near the pier.
Great beach to go to, parking lot available, 10 dollars to get in, great view of sunset, only about an hr or less from San José. Dogs are allowed. Restrooms available.
Great place to relax and enjoy the beach. Get their early to get prime beach spot and parking.
It's fine, but considering there it requires to pay at the entrance, we could expect to have people maintaining the bathrooms, which are essential when visiting beaches, also the parking space is quite far from the beach, not fun when going with kids. On the other hand, the space is well distributed, people maintain proper distancing and the sand is nice and clean. I would give it another try.
If your lucky enough to get an RV camping spot it’s fabulous. Listen to the waves all night, enjoy long walks on the beach and swim around the “Cement Ship”.
