I have been recently engaging Jared Padilla at Seacrest Development for a personal home renovation and addition approx 2300 sf. I am an Architect who works on high end luxury projects who has been looking for a local builder that could work within our budget. I had reached out to him during design and we are currently working with him on our bidding process. He has been incredibly generous with his responsiveness and due diligence. He has demonstrated diligence and commitment to understanding the details of the project with cost consciousness. I’ve spoken with his prior clients and visited his projects which were executed with care, beyond what I’ve seen come from other developer/builders in the same arena. Beyond that, Jared is honest, transparent and operates with good human values. It is apparent he cares about building a good relationship with his clients versus seeing his clients as only business.

I have had the pleasure of working with Jared Padilla for nearly 4 years now. During that time he has done complete ADU remodels at three different properties for me from start to finish. From submitting plans to the city to ensuring we receive our certificate of occupancy promptly and everything in between.

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews but occasionally I feel compelled to do so when someone goes above and beyond my expectations. Seacrest Development is one of those few companies that meets this criteria.

I have worked in property management for most of my life (25+ years). During that time I have seen a lot of stuff. It’s my experience that an honest contractor is incredibly difficult to come by. Even for someone like myself who is familiar with the work and can’t be conned easily, I experience contractors trying to take advantage of me on a regular basis. In fact aside from Jared and Seacrest Development, I really have only one other contractor that I trust completely.

Jared Padilla and his crew are remarkably ethical, honest and fair people. Anyone who’s ever done a major remodel knows that you can expect to end up paying more than what you’re initially quoted. Sometimes it’s no fault of the contractor, they can’t see through walls and can’t always know what problems they may run into. But unfortunately many times contractors will try to take advantage of the client. It’s just a sad reality of this business. In my four years of working with Jared, there’s never been an instance where I felt he was trying to take advantage of me. In fact he has oftentimes surprised me with charging less than he quoted. Jared just got done with a remodel job for me in Newport Beach and picked up his final check yesterday, the final total for all the work he quoted us to do came in $16,351.29 LESS. That simply just doesn’t happen in the general contracting world. It’s unheard of.

I believe if you can’t trust someone everything else doesn’t matter but Jared Padilla and his team at Seacrest Development are much more than just honest people. They do incredibly high quality work and in my experience their prices can’t be beat. In my line of work it’s policy to always get at least 3 bids for any major job. Not only has Jared alway came in the lowest, he uses much higher quality materials than were quoted in other bids.

One of the greatest pleasures of working with Jared is that I am always blown away by the final product. It has always exceeded my greatest hopes for how it will turn out and I get paid to looks for problems and imperfections.

Well I think that pretty well sums it up. I would prefer to keep Jared to myself and not make him anymore popular than he already is but I felt I owed it to him to write this because he really deserves to be recognized for the tremendous job he does.

The team at Seacrest Development was excellent to work with. Their service extends beyond closing and their quality speaks for itself. Grateful for the chance to work together. Looking forward to another one!

I worked with Jared Padilla on the complete renovation of my home and a few smaller projects since, he was amazing. The Seacrest Team truly cared about doing the job to my satisfaction and going above and beyond. He was a great communicator and was always timely with updates. But the most important aspect to Jared and Seacrest was their integrity, I always believed he was trying to do the right thing for me and the project.

Seacrest Development helped us with our ambitious renovation project adding a 2nd story to our single family home in Culver City. From beginning to end, Seacrest's passion for their work was obvious and we appreciated the communication flow and willingness to explain complexities we didn't understand. We worked closely with Jared, Seacrest's Head Builder who continually provided a "white glove" level of service rarely seen in the home building industry. Jared cares greatly about the quality of his work and it shows in the final product. He is also honest, hard working, and down to earth. The greatest testament to Jared's professionalism is our desire to work with him again in the future and recommend him to all our friends.

Jared Padilla is an excellent contractor! I've used him on several jobs. Anywhere from remodels to new builds. He treats all jobs with the same high-quality service. His detailed and itemized bids, ability to stay on schedule, and organized team has made working with him a pleasure! His crew is well mannered, knowledgeable, and detail oriented. Jared has proved to be responsible, communicative, resourceful and a pleasure to work with. I recommend Jared Padilla and Seacrest Development for all your jobs!

President, Jared Padilla was always available and attentive from start to finish. He and his crew did an incredible job transforming our out dated master bath into a contemporary luxury retreat.
