I waited 35 years to put in a pool, and I could not have chosen a better company if I tried. Secard Pools, Pico Rivera, has been amazing from start to finish. From my salesman, Greg, to all the hard-working crews, the whole process was so smooth. I was always notified beforehand when the crews would arrive, and received a phone call if they were running late, which only happened once. All of the crews were prompt, friendly, and respectful. There is always someone to speak to on the phone, who will answer all your questions, which is really nice these days. I now have the pool of my dreams, and it was accomplished in three short months. I would highly recommend this very professional company. I understand why they have been in business for 65 years. Thank you so much, Secard Pools, for making my dreams come true. Happy swimming!

Our Pool came out awesome! Greg @ the Pico Rivera store was on top of every little thing! He guided us through every step of the way from start to finish. Perfect design and the family loves it. Anything we asked for, he made happen!

Greg is the worst person to deal with. Don't get into a pool contract with his pool company. Didn't show up the day they were supposed to start, no call no show. We had to chase them down to find out what happened. Greg never cared he avoided us instead of communicating with us. Greg wants to threaten us now because we decided to go somewhere better. Better pool. Better prices Better customer service. Don't deal with Secard pools they don't care about your pool just take your $$$ and don't show up when they're supposed to!

Greg was an awesome salesman that sold us our swim spa. Since our original purchase, he has also helped out a few times for some accessories I needed to purchase. Highly recommend this company!

I do not recommend Secard Pools. I contracted with Secard in March 2021. The sales guy said work would begin in July 2021 and it would take 2 weeks to finish. They didn't finish until one year later - March 2022. During that one-year period, they worked a total of 9 days. Arriving at 9: 30 or 10am, leaving at 3pm, with an hour lunch - only 4 hours each day. They tried to blame the time on city inspections. But the inspector consistently came one business day after requested. I had to book inspections with the city myself, because Secard could take up to 10 days to request the inspector. You don't know in advance when they will work. The office calls 5pm the night before to tell you workers will be there the next day. There was a 3.5 month period when they didn't work at all.

Instead of locating the heater and filter close to the sources of gas and plumbing, they placed them far away. Therefore, they had to trench my entire yard to bring gas and plumbing lines around. They cut into roots of trees and left a big muddy mess for 6 months. Since they were here so irregularly, I had to fill the trenches myself after they passed inspection. Secard didn't plan to fill trenches dug in December until March. I had to dig my own trench for the electrical line. As for the pool itself, it was designed backward. The entry should be on the other side.

The contract only states three phases of payments. Once they start work, the construction office requests payments that are not in line with the contract. I would not have agreed to this payment schedule. Secard only takes payment online or in-person at their office. For online payment, they charge a 2.5% convenience fee for each transaction. This means I paid an additional $1000 for the pool.

By December, I had paid $35,000, that's 87.5% of the total cost. At that time, the pool was still just a dirt hole. In October, Secard called me several times to collect $5,320 that I didn't owe. I had to speak with multiple people before they admitted their mistake. Payment was expected prior to starting work. My last payment of $500 was due before they started working and before they finished the pool. To date, I had paid $39,400 on time every time. I paid $500 in the morning on the date requested. Their system didn't show the charge, so I received a call from them demanding I email them the receipt right that moment. Insulting! I had already paid $39,400. AND they hadn't finished the work yet!

The last day was a fiasco. They didn't finish the work. The crew didn't have proper instructions nor appropriate material. They almost installed wrong veneer and a ladder that wasn't part of the plans. One guy complained other workers hadn't hooked up the gas. They tried to tear up my deck before I stopped them. The pool was filled, but not circulating and without chemicals. I called every day and finally they came to finish it over a week after it was filled.

The walk-through was a joke. They told me to Google the chemicals needed to maintain the pool. They shocked the pool in the middle of a hot sunny day. They told me to wait 2 weeks before putting any treatments in because the levels would "balance" after two weeks. Within a week, there was zero chlorine in the water and algae growing.

I resent having to wait a year for the end product and live in a mud pit for 6-months. If you don't mind that, then go for it. But there are much better companies.

**Edit: Secard Pools has replied to my review stating that it took them a whole year to build the pool because the permitting process caused delays. This is simply a lie. Unfortunately, Secard Pools lied to me at the beginning, middle, and end of the project. It took Secard a year to build the pool because they didn't break ground for six months. Then they worked on the pool for a mere 4 hours a day once about every three weeks, on average. I arranged the permit inspections myself because it took Secard too long to do this easy task. Save yourself time and disruption - find a different pool builder.

Greg went out of his way to help us find the correct spa filter. The filter I had contained no information at all and he was able to find it. I can definitely see why Greg is the manager he is outstanding. I highly recommend this store to anyone.

They lied about how long the job would take and then acted like I was unreasonable for expecting it to be done in the timeframe they stated. They made no effort to get it done or even offer an apology, let alone a discount. Told me 11_12 weeks and took over 5 months to complete. This was a $15k job and only required 3-4 days of them being here and actually working. Find somewhere else, anywhere else to spend your money, I can promise this won't work out the way you want.
