Security Public Storage, Escondido CA

I appreciated how Jesse was patient and informative with me while I was trying to decide what was the correct space I would need.

By far the rudest, most incompetent, people I have had the misfortune of dealing with. The units are INFESTED WITH RATS. Office was supposed to open at 9 but they didn't show up til after 10. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Horrible horrible place.

We have used Security Public Storage in Escondido for over 3 years. We have found that the units are well cared for and secured. Have not encountered and problems or issues with the management of the facility.

My girlfriend cancelled her storage unit (With everything moved out) on may first and then they charged her and said "we charge on May first in the morning" so she asked for a prorated refund and they said they couldn't do it, which im not mad about whatever but then she asked to leave her stuff there then for the rest of the month and they said sorry we cant do that cause we put a lock on it already? !? !? ! So you charged her for the month but won't let her keep her stuff in there? And when she asked for corporate phone number they said they can't give that out, but its on the web! Terrible customer service! Currently in the process of working with corporate but they never respond quickly either.

I called the place for my girlfriend again, and we kind of quarreled back and forth. Then they told us to call corporate to dispute it with them. About an hour later they called us and disputed it with corporate for us. I changed the star rating from 1 star to 3 because this should have been handled a week ago. But wanted to be completely transparent

Management has been extremely polite, helpful, understanding and willing to work with customers unique and individual circumstances. Would highly recommend this facility.

I like this storages, is very easy access, they are fair clean, the management is very helpful, the doors were replace for roll-ups at no cost.

Security Public storage has the rudest onsite managers. They don't honor coupon given by the company itself. They also are infested with rodents such as RATS. I know this because, I witnessed this. I recently had a unit there and upon moving out of a unit there were rat droppings all over my unit and boxes. My boxes were torn n chewed. A lot of my belongings were damaged due to rats. I recommend you choose another storage facility. This place isn't worth a single star.

Needed a unit ASAP and was able to find an affordable drive up with ease. Managers have been great and helpful. I have a smaller unit but it fits all my needs. Noted no rat droppings and the facility is secure. Planning on keeping this unit for a while!

Really bad place not clean at all and bad customer service and have rats and the employees are not helpful at all. People who post nice reviews must be lying I only use the storage 3 days and was terrible not going back.

I really appreciated the fact they were totally upfront about the charges, no hidden fees in their advertising. That was a HUGE plus!

We i’ve only been storing our belongings with this company for one week in that one week they’ve been nothing but rude and disrespectful. The first encounter they tried to kick us out 30 minutes early before closing. The second encounter was I asked for a receipt and was met with a bombardment of questions and accusations which I couldn’t understand. I’m closing this place is terrible would not recommend it to anybody. Staff needs training in customer service.

Website is extremely unhelpful. There is no list price of storage. You have to call to get prices. Why have an extensive website if you can't even list a price for any of the services you offer. Security public storage offers alot of storage options but using there website is a waste of time.

Do Not Rent A Storage Unit Here! Have kept my stuff here probably since 2016 with no real problems. Recently went to pull some items out of storage and when I open my unit, the stench of feces hits me in the face and all my stuff is covered in animal droppings! Immediately shut the door and left. Now I need to find time to completely empty the storage and find another location, on top of making sure I'm completely protected in safety gear so i don't catch something or worse get attacked by whatever left the droppings in the first place. Can't wait to see how much of my belongings I need to throw out because of this. This is why all storage facilities should be active in pest control. Wish I could give this place a negative star.

Definitely a great place to have a storage and great staff i've been with them for quite a while and never had any issues

I like this place. We've rented from here before it's way more secure than our last storage. Idk why we even used a different option.
