Self-Realization Fellowship Meditation Gardens reviews
19One of the most peaceful and picturesque places to visit in San Diego / Encinitas. The place has been graced by Divine Guru Swami Paramahansa Yogananda. Thank you for this opportunity to visit this wonderful retreat.
Very beautiful garden. Very busy on a Sunday. Not many people being respectful of the meditation atmosphere. Such as talking loudly in the meditation garden.
Sacred, Peaceful, Most Beautiful Gardens,
If you are looking for some peace. Make time and visit the sanctuary as often as you can
Quiet, sweet place for reflection, if there aren't too many people. So worth the visit!
One of the coolest spots in San Diego. Founded by Paramahansa Yogananda it is an excellent place for a quiet meditation practice. I always feel spiritually recharged after going there. Swamis beach is right next to it for surfing so there is plenty to do in the area. Check it out and definitely say a prayer to our Gurus!
The place is one of kind, a garden nicely done and facing the ocean.
It's a place where people of different religious background can share a place for meditation.
Have to respect those people utilizing the place for it's true purpose and speak with your volume down.
We love coming to this little gem every now and then. It’s peaceful and you can bring your service animals with you as well. Thankful for this place?
Nice place to walk and enjoy a day of relaxing. Nice little ponds with koi fish but not a lot of trails. I thought it was a lot of area Only one place to look out over the ocean.
The most incredible experience! Side street parking was easy in (don't stop for coffee 1st no drinks allowed) and out. Such a beautiful place the flowers and greenery and trees are magnificent and I have never seen koi so big and happy looking! My 1st time on the pacific hearing the water crash against the cliffs once I reached the top of the walkway to the ocean it was overwhelming and I was so thankful for the empty bench to sit and meditate on the sounds and visuals it was quite breathtaking to experience and I am so thankful to the friend that was local to that area and took me there on the little window of time I had before I had to be at the airport.
One of my favorite places on earth! The peace of soul felt at this place as you overlook the vast ocean is almost indescribable!
Serene & beautiful. Koi pond & the gardens were flourishing. A true paradise to practice meditation and self-reflection.
Amazing lush ponds and pools, hovering above the Pacific, thank you for the enjoyable walk through the SRF meditation garden
Beautiful koi pond and outlook to the beach. Lots of places to rest and relax. The walk has some stairs but isn't too strenuous, and the view of the ocean is beautiful. There's quite a lot of street parking, but traffic can affect that.
A small Garden but a very well maintained garden that sits atop the coastline. My wife and I really enjoyed how beautiful this place was not a huge garden but a truly beautiful place where you can walk around and see the different parts of the garden with a variety of different types of plants and flowers beautifully put together.be sure to keep your voices low out of respect for the people who use the place for actual meditation its very much appreciated and encouraged.take your camera plenty of photo opportunities you'll gonna want to advantage of.and like always please go by the leave no trace policy and leave it better than you found it.
A lush landscaped meditation garden overlooking swami beach. If your looking for a peaceful place to visit while in encinitas, this place offers great views of the ocean while you admire the beautiful flora on the property. Very well maintained and family friendly, but voices must be kept to a minimum as many visitors practice meditation or prayer onsite. You can easily spend about an hour here strolling the gardens and getting in some great photography. The best part is there is no entrance fee. Donations are encouraged.
Love this gem. It has been here for years. It's connected to the self realization fellowship. Great Great place to meditate
Perfect place to relax your mind body & soul. Relaxing place, very serene, quite conducive ambience for meditation and place for solitude. The sounds of the graceful waves takes your mind to zen enviroment and serenity? ️
This place is beautiful! I just wish more people would respect that it is meant to be a quiet place.
Such a hidden gem. It truly is a beautiful escape! It's like a lil piece of heaven on earth! Thanks to the lovely local Norine taking me there!
The whole experience here was surreal. I love the koi pond, you can tell the fish are well taken care of and are happy. The gentle ocean breeze, the well-manicured landscape, the cozy flowers, the tranquility vibes around you, everything is just vibrating calm.
My friend and I sat at the bench facing the ocean, letting the ocean breeze wash over us, taking in the peaceful surroundings and letting us be still.
I recommend this place to anyone who loves a peaceful and serene beachside garden. It is a mixture of lively and stillness. Lively as in swimming fishes, ocean breeze; stillness as in the calmness around us. What an experience. I just made a mental note to myself to return to this place again.
