Self Serve Carwash- Lucky Coin Car Wash reviews
17Said it was cheaper to do the card and my time was 5 minutes and 37 seconds and still got charged 10 dollars makes no sense if I just put in 5 ones would have been cheaper
Ok all the bad reviews are a bunch of picky, negative ninnies. My experience was great. My first self service wash and I don’t think I’m washing my car any other way now.the machine dispenses soap, air to dry, wax and the water pressure is great. The person who is complaining about the water pressure also expects a brush dispensing soap to do the job when it can also scratch up your car.
It’s a self service wash and for the price and outcome, I had a great experience.
This is the worst car wash I have ever used. I can wash my car in 3: 30 to 5 minutes at any car wash I have ever used. I have used a few dozen. This place has the water pressure set so low it took me nearly 9 minutes and that was just to rinse it with soap gun and rinse soap off. The soap is hardly soap and hardly visible. The brushes to scrub wheels are literally 1/2 the width of the standard size everyone else uses. Between the water pressure turned down to low, barely any soap or wax.good luck even knocking the dust off in under 3 minutes.
It is so bad that I thought I pulled into a broken bay. Since I have used all three bays on different days and I got the same results. You seriously would do better to pay the neighbor good kid to wash your car with a squirt gun and dirty socks.
Whoever owns this place needs to realize that although you successfully tricked customers into paying twice the amount they should for half the car resources they paid for you will lose that customer like you lost me. I wash my car once a week and I live three blocks away. Do the math. You took me for nearly 30 bucks for terrible service but you would have gained at least 300 over the year if you were not so f-ing cheap.
Literally the worst car wash I have ever used.
About a year ago I gave this car wash 5 stars. I've been back about 4 times since then. Each time all of the equipment has worked and my bay was clean. I also like the credit card option for payment. I will be returning. I usually go mid day during the week.
SCAMM ALERT!
Vacuum Charges 10$ for 3 minutes! Beware of damaged equipment & inefficient. Very Low quality Place. Anywhere but here!
Best self car wash there is. Everything is great. Price, equipment excellent. Will use it all the time.
Broken equipment. You find out you've wasted money once you try to use the hoses. Only wasted $1.40 thankfully. Left immediately. Customer beware.
My experience sucked. Change machine only took 1s. The so called power spray with soap didn’t take anything off my truck. Won’t return there!
One of the worst self wash places i’ve used in the county.if you like wasting money and time, this is your place to do it: soap trickles out of the tire wash, the soap+water mode is 90% water, and worst of all, the pressure of the “water” mode is the lowest i’ve experienced.which is convenient for them as time = money with these.spent 5 applying the soap to my car only to spend another 5 minutes jus trying to rinse it off with the sad excuse of a “pressure” washer.
Save Money? The sign you see has to be a joke. They don't have a system that basically holds an open tab. Not a set price for a set amount of time. So my car wash cost $10 for some soap and water since it's a self wash. You go to a gas station automatic car wash and get it done for $3.99. Their water must be a mountain spring, and the soap must be created by a designer to charge that much. And their system is misleading, confusing, and has no STOP button. Clever with a hint of manipulative.
Big plus it's 24 hours.
Over prices for what you get. 4 minutes for 4 bucks (4 tokens) they do have a credit card option which will save you some coins though. Low height clearance. If you have a camper van or a tall truck good luck.
I’ve been here a few times because it’s the only self wash car wash in the UTC area. I spend so much more money here because there’s no pressure in neither of the bays for water/presoak. The soap barely dispenses anything. The tire brush w/ soap is a joke. The hoses in all the bays are constantly leaking.
Do not come here, I recommend “Spot Free Rinse Car Wash” in Pacific Beach on Balboa next to Chevron. It’s a bit far from UTC but you’ll at least get very soapy machines that don’t drip all over you, and you’ll have a fully functioning rinse gun with full pressure.
I come here often because of the convenience and price, and I really prefer the touchless wash on my car. Occasionally something is broken or needs attention but if you email them they will respond quickly with great customer service. Overall I find it great value for the money.
Price isn't listed anywhere other than "$4 minimum charge. " Seems like it's $1 per minute. Machines work okay. Gotta work to get it clean. Spent $20 for a mediocre wash.
A few have already shared this but the biggest bummer about this self service spot is that it’s not fully working. I can only speak for the middle bay, the gun that disperses wax doesn’t work along with the smaller brush that disperses soap for the tires. The option to use soapy water with the water gun ends up being mainly water that comes out. You’re better off using the larger brush to soap your car. Now for some positives, I was able to still wash my car better than most drive through car washes & spent less. Cost me around $8. The location feels safe, easily accessible, they accept debit/credit cards & it’s pretty straight forward. This place would be MUCH better if it was in fully working order.
Unless this is the only option for you…I’d pass. Not we’ll maintained (a couple of the washing devices weren’t working). Plus soapy continues to come out of the spray line once you’ve selected the clear water rinse. So lots of spots. Not worth the bother/frustration/cost of coming here…
It seems that this place isn’t really well kept. A lot of the tools and stalls are very dirty.
