We are in the beginning of our renovation process and we came to see what Semihandemade had to offer to match IKEA cabinets. We met with Jeff who was so informative and knowledgeable. He guided us how to go about the process to meet our needs and design. We came out of the meeting considering ideas we had not before. Very useful for any stage of your renovation process.

Looking for an update for a tiny 1/2 bathroom. Nothing compared to what I could accomplish with Semihandmade! Looks fresh for less than the price of a decent cabinet from a big box.

Fantastic quality and workmanship. Quick delivery and careful packaging. Very responsive to questions and works closely with you to ensure you have exactly what you need to make it look good.

We used Semihandmade for our kitchen, mud room and laundry room in a new build. The way their product seamlessly works with the IKEA base is amazing. The cabinets look completely custom and built-in, but cost half the price because of the IKEA + Semihandmade pairing. The company’s responsiveness and attention to detail is as high quality as its cabinet fronts. You can’t go wrong!

We have now used Semihandmade fronts for the cabinets in our kitchen and office. They are high quality - the look and feel is much better than the Ikea fronts. They have also been very responsive with any questions that we have had throughout the process. We will continue to use them throughout our home remodel. SO grateful for companies like this one.

I've done several Kitchens, bathrooms, and Media wall units using SemiHandmade's fronts. I love the full range of fronts to select from, and the staff is always super responsive to all my calls and emails. I cannot recommend them enough to all my friends and colleagues. Top notch!

The product smchoices were gorgeous and had way more options than the stock Ikea ones. The doors and drawer fronts were easy to install. We would definitely use them again.

I'm thrilled with my Semihandmade kitchen. Ikea didn't offer a white shaker panel so I found these for my remodel. I used white for the wall cabinets and Night Sky for the base and drawer fronts. Everybody loves the look and the quality. It was super easy to order and the customer service was outstanding. Semihandmade helped make my vision a reality.

A seamless experience from start to finish! The folks at Semihandmade were professional, prompt and helpful with every question. All of the products arrived as ordered and within the quoted time frame (though note that, since cabinet fronts are heavy business, they arrive on a pallet, so make sure you've got someone there to help you unload everything, especially if you live in a city where the delivery truck may not be able to park/stay)

Semi-handmade products are the absolute best! I used them for our kitchen cabinets and they look incredible. Super easy to install, great customer service and a beautiful finish!

We installed semihandmade about a year ago and couldn’t be happier with the process. They have a great team. Even when IKEA did not give them the correct order, they worked with us to make sure we had everything we needed. They even gave us one panel for free. The quality is amazing and customer service is the best. I would highly recommend working with semihandmade. Our kitchen looks great!

Poor quality and poor customer service.

Background: our kitchen and bathroom are featured on Semihandmade's website are have been used to promote their products for years. The pieces are about 6 years old.

The problems started less than 3 years after installation — the cabinet surfaces started separating and warping near our oven. The company said it was our fault, despite this being a very normal situation. So, grudgingly we paid to replace them.

About a month ago, large swathes of our kitchen and dining room just started coming apart. The fronts all over are completely peeling off (see the photos for a small sample of what's happening). There's no way to repair them. Despite the fact that our kitchen has been used as their promotional material for years, the company said there was nothing they could do and that we had to buy replacements and pay to reinstall them. After arguing with them via email, they then said that it's past their 5 year warranty, but they'd offer a 30% discount if we ordered new ones. But they frequently run "20% off sales"; in fact the there's one running right now.

Summary: Semihandmade doesn't stand by their products; the pieces are cheaply made and not suitable for regular use. When confronted and asked for replacements — not even counting the cost of labor — they offered us effectively 10% off. This company sells products with a 5 year lifespan that then have to be thrown away. Don't get tricked. Spend your money elsewhere.

I ordered about $5000 of fronts, trim and hardware for Semihandmade on 1/27/2021 and the doors and trim arrived on 3/12/2021. I’m still missing the hardware and have had zero updates about the hardware.

The fronts and trim that did arrive were defective and clearly shouldn't have passed QA (see photos). I asked for replacement and after a month of back and forth my replacement order was finally processed on 4/23/2021. The order was supposed to have 32 pieces but only 4 pieces arrived. I thought okay this is weird, I tried calling about but literally no one picks up the phone over there. Tried all the options and it would just ring for and then hang up. I received an email from Semihandmade saying the order was delivered and I have 3 days to reach out to see if there is anything wrong. Reached out via email and still no response.

The 4 replacement pieces were better quality but honestly not really worth the cost and headache of IKEA + Semihandmade, better off going to a local cabinet maker and getting better quality for about the same price. I had some existing IKEA cabinets and thought I'd save a couple of bucks, but that was a mistake. Never again.

I’m hoping that someone from Semihandmade sees this review and reaches out.

We are very disappointed in this product. We had a small order of a kitchenette and bath vanity. Of the 5 drawer fronts we ordered, 3 were not drilled for attaching and 1 was drilled as a door not a drawer. When we went to attach the pulls to the doors and the thermafoil covering started to pull away from the door back like it was not properly affixed to the MDF. We are now concerned about how they will wear. When customer service was contacted they were helpful and are going to ship the correct drawer to us but not ones with the drill holes. We did that ourselves in the two days it took customer service to get us the drawing of where the holes need to be. We would not use this product again.

Though we had to journey through some miscalculations and delivery damage, Semihandmade was an incredible partner in accomplishing our customs cabinets. Their customer service, especially Daniel, the Success Specialist, was incredibly responsive and supported us replacing panels for our fridge. I highly recommend this company. Just be prepared -mishaps happen but at least you are in good hands.

We used semihandmade for the doors and panels for our kitchen. I would not use this company again. Poor quality of doors and panels. Poor customer service.
We opted for the consult where semihandmade supposedly uses your designs from IKEA to create your cart. They completely messed up, left out a number of cover panels, sent us too few kick board panels, and sent us cover panels that didn’t align with the sizes of the cabinets. When I first reached out to them to correct the issue, the first person I spoke to was helpful and said they would expedite the processing and that we’d receive free shipping. After numerous emails and phone calls, it took over a week to get the missing materials ordered and we didn’t get free shipping. The customer service rep also tried to charge us for custom pieces which cost 3 times the actual cost. It has been a month since I originally called to get the missing pieces and we still do not have an estimated arrival date. We had to move our countertop template appointment back and cannot reschedule because we don’t know when we’ll get the missing pieces.

Overall, I am not impressed with the quality and I am incredibly disappointed in the customer service and general process. If we could have, we would have returned it all and started over with a different company. We will not be using semihandmade for our other remodeling projects.

Doors are okay looking, Took 3 weeks to get here with absolutely zero updates til i started pestering them. They do not manufacture anything in house it seems. They are middle man i believe. No Returned, No Cancellation. Pretty horrible customer service when you order $200 worth of product and it isn't even the right size. Should have read the reviews.

Stick to Norse interiors for your ikea remodeling stuff. What a waste of money unfortunately:/

Stay far far away from this company. I have had a horrific experience ordering floating shelves from them. No matter what you ask for, the customer service has one simple answer for you: NO. They were unwilling to rush my order, rush only the brackets for my order, cancel my order or accommodate me in any shape or form 3 days after I paid them almost $900 for 2 shelves. They seem to simply be an inflexible middleman for another vendor.
