Cosmetics Store SEPHORA reviews
20Terrible customwr service, especially if you are not Caucasian. I never felt more alienated for being Hispanic, than I did at this Sephora. I felt purposely ignored, the Caucasian teens were treated completely different than I was and they didn't even purchase anything. No one offered to assist, I had to ask for help. Items that I needed were out of stock so an employee ordered it online for me (dip brow pomade by Anastasia). Only to find out she ordered something completely different then what she recommended, a gel pen? ️ Don't waste your time here.
I was looking for a mascara when one shop assistant offered her help. But she abandoned me immediately when she saw another customer who was looking at a more expensive stuff.
Horrible experience here yesterday. We came for black Friday sales and found some. Actually many. But as we were leaving we checked our receipt and saw that one of the items wasn’t on sale as it was supposed to be. Went back to the counter and found that not only was it not on sale as the shelf advertised, but they were not going to give us a return because it was final sale. This was a tiny container of perfumes in a holiday box.
We calmly explained that we were only looking for sales and the sign on the shelf was misleading and we did not want a regular priced item. Showed the receipt indicating every item was on sale but this one. We didn’t want it if it wasn’t discounted.
The sales clerk actually said she could not physically take the return because the register would not accept it, due to it being a final sale. She wrote a phone number down and told me customer service would be able to help me.
So, despite wanting to spend a nice afternoon Christmas shopping with my teen daughter, I sat on the phone and waited until customer service told me that the sales clerk was incorrect, that they do not deal with in-store returns, so, I wanted to go back in the store and ask for a manager again (when I asked the first time the girl did not get the manager for me.)
But, at this point my daughter was upset and she just wanted to leave. This was her money by the way: my teen daughter’s hard earned money basically stolen from her by dishonest and unhelpful people at this store.
And, what makes it even worse is when we got home we realized the box contained small tiny samples sized perfumes. Not what was pictured on the box, but the tiny sample size ones attached to a card that you get for free when you buy some thing.
I’m so upset by this experience, and by not being helped by the Sephora staff at this store. Will never visit here again. The only other thing I regret is not returning the rest of our expensive purchase that day, simply on principle.
I enjoy the Del Monte store in Monterey.the staff are great. Store is clean and offers great stuff.
Gabe was very helpful in helping me pick out concealer and didn't make me feel like an idiot for not knowing how to use it. I will be back.
Went in looking for a specific product. Was not greeted or assisted at all for the entire duration of my visit. Decided not to purchase anything off of principal and will never return.
Their manager Kiari is amazing and very knowledgeable of all the products and what to recommend based on your make up needs.
I haven’t been inside this specific sephora in a while, but when I went in it was the worst experience in my life! Right when we walked in it seemed that they where watching us as if we where going to take something specially the blonde lady with her hair a little over her shoulders (I didn’t catch her name) She was following us around and made the whole experience horrible, we went to get some skincare products and my sister was looking for a new fragrance and at the end we went back to macys to get what we needed since they where nicer and more welcoming. They need to have some sort of training and teach them how to make customers feel welcomed, and not to profile people just because they look different than them.
Had amazing help from Hunter this week! She knew exactly what to get to complete a look I was aiming for so effortlessly. She also was precious with my little kid and gave great service at check out. Thank you SOooO much!
The Sephora at the Del Monte in Monterey has great customer service. Employees know the products and recommend the appropriate product to meet your needs.
The staff is friendly at the door but not eager (nor knowledgeable enough) to help you. I asked 3-4 staff members on the floor for advice on purchasing several products and when a product was unavailable or sold out, they did not volunteer or suggest to show me other similar products, nor did they urge me to go to the register to place an online order. I felt like I was inconveniencing them as a customer when I was avidly looking to buy several products. Instead of inquiring about what I was looking for, I had to insist and flag them down to ask them to help me/suggest products to me. Most of the staff was huddled in groups and chit chatting so it was not at a busy time. Sometimes you want to be able to walk into a store and not have to do research before buying a product because you can rely on the staff’s expertise to help you accelerate decision making. Seems like there is no staff training here.
Ultimately I walked out of the store empty handed.better to just read reviews and do comparisons online because you are on your own at this Sephora. I am aware through the grapevine that staffing of a lower caliber is a problem in Del Monte Center, as it is also an issue at the Apple store next door. Not enough competition and they are desperate to hire anyone. Many people I know go to the storefronts in San Jose for this reason because the service is vastly better there than it is here. Also important to note- they do not have Pat McGrath or other brands at this store because it is limited- so go to SJ for more availability
This is a pretty good Sephora! Excellent skin and hair care selection and the staff is always helpful!
Was nice to have a worker that didn't acted like she was irritated having to be at work. I do not recall the name of the sweet lady but she was such a pleasure
Clean appears very compliant to CV19 restrictions, got quick service, Hunter helped me update my foundation color No issues. Got in, Got out.
I love Sephora and their brand, but every time I walk into this specific store, I get profiled as if I am stealing. I would first like to declare that I have never shoplifted and I never will- that just is not who I am as a person. I do not really care about how I look at times, so I usually walk in with sweats and a t-shirt. When I am browsing in the store, I get asked six times if I need help (if the employees talk to each other through headsets, they should already know that they asked me that). Then, when I went to check out products, the girl that was checking me out said on her headset, "yes, she is checking out now, her shirt is low". EXCUSE ME? ! Very uncomfortable experience. It seems that they assume certain groups of people are stealing because of their class and race. DO BETTER.
Absolutely love this store and the ladies at this location are incredibly helpful while never seeming pushy at all.
I went in to find a foundation and I was greeted by elena she was with a customer but when she finished helping her she came right back to me and asked if I needed help which I did and she stayed with me until I found my shade and the right one she tried so many on me that I found the right foundation I was satisfied with all her customer service and honestly because half the time poeple just want to sell the product even if it's not the right one so I was really pleased with her and will go back
Friendly staff very helpful.this store is dangerous to anyone's wallet they have amzing products
The beautiful man helping me and beautiful girl behind counter were extremely helpful and I bought stuff I didn't even need but they were awesome salespeople!
This place was so friendly and clean. Huge sephora and had everything stocked up. The samples weren't all gross or anything like they sometimes can be.
