Serenity Wehrenberg / Take Root Psychotherapy reviews
8Serenity and I trained together in graduate school and internship, and I respect her clinical skills immensely. Serenity has such a deep understanding of what it means to be human, and an incredible capacity to sit with the hard stuff compassionately. She also has a wonderful sense of humor, and the ability to not take herself too seriously. In our profession, it is considered a violation of ethics to ask clients or former clients to post reviews, so you might not see reviews from them, but as a colleague, I heartily recommend Serenity as a therapist. You will be in good hands!
As a long-time colleague, I feel confident referring to Serenity: she is a skilled and thoughtful therapist with a warm, empathic presence.
I have had the pleasure and privilege of working directly with Serenity as a colleague and observing her work with clients. We have worked together for four years and I have witnessed the beautiful, grounded way she is present with her clients. Serenity uses a psychodynamic approach, empathic listening, calm presence, and seeks to deeply understand her clients. She is always seeking to learn more to enhance her practice, and over the years she has accumulated a broad range of knowledge that grounds her work. I have referred clients to her and will continue to do so.
Sadly, seems like she is going through some personal problems. Felt a real disconnection from my session with her. It felt scripted. I wonder if the reviews here are friends of hers. I had a complete different experience. She seemed disorganized. I could tell she was in her home in session and wasn’t sure it was private. She looked like she had not slept much and looked clueless a few times like she had dazed off. I don’t plan on booking another session. While nice, she didn’t come off as grounded. I suspect she is pretty new at this and needs more experience or training. I don’t think I’m the only person who may have had this type of experience given her lack of reviews from clients.
Serenity is a sensitive and insightful therapist who knows how to support her clients while navigating deep territory with them.
Serenity has a grounded, authentic presence that creates a feeling of safety and trust. I feel very supported by her integrity and warmth. She is also a clear, organized group leader.
Serenity Wehrenberg is a wonderful therapist and person. She makes me feel heard and supported and I know that I am cared for. She is also very organized and professional. I highly recommend her.
I have know Serenity for 4 years. She is warm, grounded, and authentic. When you speak with her, you truly feel seen and heard. When I refer her to clients, I feel confident that they are in good hands.
