Serra Retreat, Malibu CA

Beautiful and serene retreat center that helped me to connect with God in a fresh new way. It restored my soul just being there. I slept so well and felt so cared for by the staff. I am looking forward to returning again next year.

Beautiful experience and peaceful place to meditate. Food is good and tasty. Rooms are clean. Retreat are wonderful and such a beautiful experience and blessings.

Truly a WOW place to visit and especially to stay. So beautiful and peaceful. Set on the top of the hill over looking multiple celebrities’ houses and ranches. Amazing views to the ocean.

Probably hundreds of benches to rest and meditate. You need to visit and spend time here. So relaxing. Love the statues everywhere.

You can feel the holiness as soon as you arrive. The Friars and staff serve with tremendous love. The Spirituality here is life changing.

Great staff and setup. Rooms are tiny with 4 people sharing bathroom and shower. We were there for spiritual enlightenment not comfort or ease yet rooms are super tiny and can be long wait for bathroom! Food so so, and no refrigerator or microwave in room. Bottom line you are getting what you pay for with great folks running event but physical facilities lacking. However, where could you do a 3 day 2 night retreat with meals for less than $300? Nastame!

I needed to find a place to reenergize my soul, unwind and get away from daily life routines. Was hesitant to attend because of its locality. I had biased presuppositions of people being arrogant. Attended the Mens Retreat and was proven wrong. I meet very humble and welcoming retreat participants and staff. Overall, the retreat was philosophically and spiritually enlightening. The grounds are also very beautiful. Looking forward to someday returning.

Other than the fact that cowardice prevailed and the statue of Father Serra was hastily ripped down and all evidence of him stripped from the facility that bears his name, everything was great.

Been ~3 weeks & still waiting on the reservation confirmation email. Sent email reminding about the request for confirmation, which went unanswered. So, called and the lady who answered said will email me that day but didn't. Worried experience at the Serra Retreat won't be good. Will post again after my stay (?) there is done.
