Winery Sextant Wines reviews
13Greatest wine and people. GSMs are great! Still the greatest in all aspects! New wine just keeps getting better. Thank you
Beautiful tasting environments and delicious wines. I came back from out of state especially to revisit this winery!
We are wine club members since 2018. Love all of their wines. Since we live in Las Vegas, we don’t get over to Paso Robles often. We reserved a wine members lounge tasting & expected something more. The pours were a little more liberal, but the tasting menu was same as general public. I thought we’d get to taste some of the better wines. Michele said she could only pour a tasting if a bottle was already opened, so maybe come back on the weekend. I ended up buying 6 bottles of the good stuff for $400, but it would have been nice to taste it since I’m a wine club member.
Reservations Only and seemingly for no reason. The place had open seats, room at the bar, etc. We stood at the bar for several minutes being ignored by the two ladies behind the bar, another lady came out and asked if we had reservations just as we were getting ready to walk out. When we said no, she went into a spiel about being busy but by that point, my wife and I were headed out the door. Won't be reserving a tasting. Won't be buying their wine. Plenty of other places around who want to show off their fantastic wines.
Sextant is one of our favorite winery stops in Paso Robles area. Beautiful tasting room. Great service and always excellent wine.
Reservations only. Tried a walk up, plenty of open seating In site, yet no room to fit 2 in? Odd. Wouldn't budge off reservations. Common sence missing.
Love the hospitality, the wine, and the bottle labels! Great place to taste and the outside seating is nice
What an amazing experience in September! From our first communication with Amy through our afternoon at Sextant, everything was wonderful. Amy worked with me to find a date that worked for my husband and I to visit for their private wine tasting experience (after some date goofs on my end), and we were so glad that she was the one who led us through the tour and tasting. Amy was a wonderful host and wine educator; we loved our time there (and the wines) so much, we joined their wine club. Just received our first shipment today! Can't recommend this spot enough (and if you're lucky enough to get the opportunity to do a tasting with Amy, jump on it!).
Sextant Winery was absolutely beautiful. There was a nautical theme throughout the whole experience. The tasting room had an amazing water light display in the ceiling and it was a super fun atmosphere. The wine was really tasty and we really enjoyed the Night Watch blend and the Cab Sauv. Plus, SHARYN, the wonderful lady who poured for us, made us feel so welcome and really made our time here so fun! This is a great place to visit and we recommend Sharyn to pour!
John was amazing! My favorite wine was Passage.
John took the time and talked to us about the area and downtown. Pointed out some restaurants and wineries to visit. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely come back.
My family went wine tasting in the Pismo Beach area in March. The service was below par as the lady pouring our wine was rude and not very attentive and there were only 2 other groups (of two) so it wasn't busy. Also, the price for wine tasting ($20.00 each) was very high and we got very little tasting each and didn't have much money left to even buy a bottle of wine. This used to be my go to place in the past as it wasn't as expensive and you also got to keep your wine glass. Sadly we won't be going back.
Very good wines, but I was disappointed that you have to pay for tasting the wines. That's not cool. Here in Austria's wineries you can taste wines for free. The more you try the more you buy.
Very nice staff, great gifts, eclectic wine. Wasn't really our style of wine, but a cool interior.
