Shadow Oaks Apartment Homes, Irvine CA

This is by far the best community I have ever lived in, and that is all thanks to the incredible staff that manage it! I lived here for over four years and nothing else truly compares to Shadow Oaks - not even CLOSE. My experience with interacting with other households has always been very positive, like a real community should feel! Most of the residents here stay long-term because of how amazing it is. I call it the hidden gem of Irvine! Very close to shopping, dining, freeways, and business offices.

Richard, Michel, and Amy are always super helpful, friendly, and professional! They try to accommodate within their means and really focus on customer experience! The Service Manager Paul is very kind, respectful, informative, and quick when it comes to anything maintenance related. He has helped us so much and the dedication to excellence does not go unnoticed! Their Technician Albert and Steven are so incredibly helpful as well. They all say hi when they drive by, which really adds to the warmth of the community.

If you are looking for a peaceful, townhome-style community with beautifully renovated interiors, lush landscape, resort-style amenities, and exceptional staff - this place is it! I'm so grateful to call Shadow Oaks my home! #lovewhereyoulive

Very well maintained property. Maintenance and leasing office personnel very helpful. Love our home and would highly recommend living here.

We have leased an apartment at Shadow Oaks at three different times and keep coming back because of the great value, amenities and most of all, outstanding customer service.

I'm pretty sure I have found my permanent home.
We moved here from Washington State 3 1/2 months ago. We actually have not had any face to face interactions with anyone at the office since we moved during the pandemic, but every time we have spoke to the office staff on the phone they were professional, kind and helpful.
Since we moved from Washington to CA, we had to rent the apartment blind, with only looking at pictures on their page. I can tell you that the 3-bedroom that we moved into is bigger than what the video shows. We were extremely concerned about the tiny kitchen, but once we moved in, we realized that it's not as small as what it seems on the video either. Know that for our particular three bedroom, it is much bigger than the videos. (Model F2)
I completely understand the reviews of people living over the garage doors. There is no way I would want to live up there. Also, the door to the garage does slam on it's own so we are very careful to always grab the handle and softly close it to prevent the big bang. I do forget sometimes and to my upstairs neighbors - I sincerely apologies and will continue to remember to grab the door before it slams.
The grounds are BEAUTIFUL! The pool and pool area is delightful, relaxing and also beautiful. Everyone seems to be dog friendly and I love the walking trails and being so close to Walgreens, Ralphs and other stores close by.
Like I said, I have only been here for 3 1/2 months but we LOVE it here.
Extra shout out to the maintenance team who are super quick, friendly and helpful.
And let's not forget the cherry on top - The squirrels and rabbits that entertain us especially during Covid19.

Beautiful apartments! Associates at the leasing office are very helpful and attentive. The property was nicely landscaped and well kept.

Nice and friendly staff. But there is serious problem about safety. We had a theft 2 times within a year. One is a golf bag and second is a bike.
It's a gate community though, so many strangers come in and out. If you think to move in, I strongly recommend to check to staff if there's some monitor checking or regularly inspecting internal staff. Otherwise the life here would be uncomfortable.

NOT RECOMMENDED, especially for families with children. We had horrible time staying in this place. Apartments' interior are nice, however, many of these apartments are located just above the garages, which cause unbearable noise especially in early morning, and late night. During my 10 month stay, they closed the pool over a month for renovation, and spent another month fixing pavement. Management staff, especially Michelle are horrible, and uncooperative. Lastly, they will steal your down-payment and make you pay for cleaning and painting no matter what (even if it wasn't painted when we took it, and was full of insects especially spiders).

Would give this property and the property management team 10 stars if I could. My husband and I were both constantly impressed by the day to day management of the grounds, buildings, amenities, and customer service communication. This is an excellently located complex, within walking distance to 2 shopping centers, a farm (with great "Breakfasts in the Barn" events), a creek-side walking/bike path, a community college, and public sports fields. It's also easy on/off to 405 and 5. There were days I never had to get on the freeway, as Target, for example, is a pretty quick drive down Barranca.

We lived there for 2 years with our dog, a lab-mix. He was always (like, DAILY) welcomed by the team at the property office and I'm pretty sure he would have been happy to stay in the leasing office forever and forget about us ;). The grounds were large enough for medium-length walks and there was always something for him to investigate.

We loved the updated finishing of our unit- it really felt top of the line and the maintenance crew was always incredibly responsive/effective. Yay, Paul!

The office team of Michel, Richard, and Scott are the best! Always friendly and communicative. Seriously, my husband and I would made jokes to each other like, "is there something in the water that makes them so nice? ". They have great info on local spots and Disneyland. Never had a property management team like that and we will miss them. No joke, we sent them a Christmas card already: (.

Michel the lady who work at the leasing office is no professional and is rude, is a nice community. I wish they can hired people who can talk nice with the tenants insted of harassing my family

Design of apartments are very old dated needs a renovation badly. Very thin walls can hear every neighbor.

Awesome place to live. Love the new appliances and vinyl throughout. Community is awesome and very quiet day and night. Leasing staff were great and very organized during application process.
