Shake Shack Koreatown, Los Angeles CA

Costs a bit higher than your usual fast food place but it tastes very fresh and the place is always clean

Located in the heart of Koreatown on Vermont and Western Ave, on level 1 of the Solair retail plaza.

They DO NOT validate parking from the Solair retail parking garage. And there is no street parking nearby. So don’t plan on driving here unless you want to pay $$ at the Solair retail parking garage.

Not sure what Shake Shack corporate was thinking opening a location in Los Angeles Koreatown without parking because parking is essential in Koreatown. No business survives in Koreatown without parking. And Shack Shack is not that special (anymore) for people to go out of their way, pay for parking, to visit this particular location. So essentially, this Shack Shack location will have to depend their sales from foot traffic coming from people getting off the metro or tourists. The Solair retail plaza is known to have a high turnover from businesses because customers are reluctant to go this plaza due to difficulty in finding parking.

Food at this location was so-so and service was non-existent. I went to go pick up my mobile order. There were two workers behind the counter, both with their backs turned away from the front, so I had to wait to pick up my order.

Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to this location.

We ordered the spicy cheese fries, a spicy chicken sandwich, and the smoke burger. The burger was solid, but I felt it needed less of the cherry peppers. The chicken sandwich and the fries were absolutely amazing though. Maybe the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. I also really liked that I could buy a beer here. The staff and security were friendly and the location was clean. Food was received quickly and was fresh.

I just left the location after visiting for the first time. When I arrived to pick up my online order, while waiting at the pick up window staff made direct eye contact multiple times but no one came to the pick up window in order to obtain my order information. The male staff member was to be busy joking with other staff members instead of assisting customers. While I was at the pick up window waiting I could see my order sitting on the rack but I could not get inside due to security stating the inside was closed. I stood at the window for over 7 minutes while my order was completed the entire time. There were no other customers being assisted at the time of my arrival.

Do not come here if you plan on driving. The rip you off with parking validation. Actually, because of how you cannot approach this place, you can tell the food quality and service suffers

The worst place can't I use the restroom we had a pay for something Please do not go here she was rude and laughed I have a UTI I can't hold my bladder and I am on my period!

Nice new Shake Shack location, the food is great on top of the design on both interior/exterior looks really good! Happy they opened one up in this area, would definitely reccomend, and they have a walk up window for mobile/to go orders which makes it convenient.

It felt like I received an empty hamburger and it was so small that I felt like I had to eat three. The patty is delicious
I think I know why it failed in Korea. It's expensive and doesn't seem sincere to the taste.

It's a brand new location within the heart of Koreatown. A lot of options to choose for burgers, fries, shakes, and drinks. With a burger and small drink of strawberry lemonade, it costed $10-11 which was decent for the price but the taste was really good and I would recommend everyone to give it a try.

Love the food and the interior design. This place was very clean but it was quite pricey. It has a security gard and the cashiers and over all workers were very nice. Highly recommend

You could order from 4 touchscreens or from the staff. Shake shack always have new features on their menus so does this time, tried the Spicy Fries, and they had a garlic scent tastes really good

Minus 1 star to raise the awareness that theres homelessness and other sketchy things right outside this location, be mindful and careful.

This location is dangerous. Dangerously close to where I live because I’ve been coming here twice a week.

Incredibly fresh food, and spectacularly friendly and attentive service. I usually don’t expect this level of hospitality from a fast casual restaurant, but it seems they chose a strong inaugural team for this new location.

I decided to come check out the new shake shack today. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by staff and they were very friendly and helpful. They walked by and asked if we wanted water at our table and took our trash out for us. I was very surprised and pleased by their service.
We ordered the chicken shack and smoke shack. Both were very tasty and we got the non dairy chocolate shake and it was delicious.

Visited the new Shake Shack and enjoyed the tasty, customizable food. However, the high prices didn't match the value, and the place was chaotic with staff occupying many tables, for their lunch break. Parking was also a hassle with no validation yet. Given these issues, I'd likely only visit a place like this twice a year.

First time ever trying Shake Shack and it was a great experience! I ordered for take out using the self-checkout pad things and whenever I had a question or looked confused there was an employee there ready to answer my questions. I was also impressed by the fact they have their own security there too.

Got my food in a reasonable amount of time and it was all fresh and DELICIOUS! The pick-up counter for take-out orders is right outside. There is a slider window where employees will call out your name within a few seconds of getting the text notification that your order is ready.
