Shakey's Pizza Parlor, Anaheim CA

Went here for dinner a few nights ago with my family. We went because Shakey’s was a restaurant my dad liked as a kid. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t match my dad’s good memories. We ordered the biggest family meal plus the salad bar. The chickens fingers were ok, but the pizza and salad bar were way below average. But the prices were higher than average, so we were disappointed that the quality didn’t match the price. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 star because they did have some cool arcade games that my kids liked, but unless the food quality improves I wouldn’t come back.

It's difficult to find this gem of a pizza parlor anymore. I used to love enjoying a pizza and playing video games and a child at a Shakey's in Chino. This brought back memories of that. I took my brother's family and it was just like old times. The pizza here is a bit overpriced compared to other places. However, the staff is top-notch. They checked on us often and they were even attentive as we played video games and helped us with tickets. Thanks! 4.75 Stars. The pizza could have been less expensive.

As of my experience with food and this unique review. Shakey's is the best for a even or a birthday. They have a small arcade which is not that bad, dining was a huge place. The prizes were ok they need more prizes. Please hire better employees I always see them not enjoying their job seriously, hire people who enjoy their job quite sad y'all.

We LOVE Shakeys! We are vegetarian and they have ALWAYS accommodated us when asked to make cheese and veggie pizzas! We love you!

I had a pick up order but I still always look around to make sure the establishment I’m about to eat food from… Is Clean. From what I saw it was well kept, they had the food behind the counter shielded off which was good.

The salad bar was still open, though. Call me a germaphobe but even pre-covid I still never understood that.
How many adults breathed over that glass and kids breathed directly all over the food? What? None of them were wearing gloves? Yeah no thank you

Still 5 stars from what I seen and tasted though. Pizza was bomb. If you eat from the open exposed to everything food, that’s on you

So so so so good! We got the 15in meat lovers and mojo fries, and our pizza was perfectly crusted on the bottom (not burnt) and perfectly soft and cheesy dough! We're from utah not cali but we are DEFINITELY going there again

I couldn't believe it! Shakey's didn't raise the price on the Bunch of Lunch and blame it on Covid!

The only bad thing is all the pies were thin crust, and many had either jalapenos or pineapple on them.
But I always write my request (ham, bell peppers, mushroom and onions and extra cheese on a thick crust) and gave it to the cook.
Then the rush came in!
And by the time the line went down the cook told me he made it! But it was gone!
So that's when I teased him and said lay off the J & P and get more traditional as slices with J and P on thin crust we're begging to be eaten under the warming lamp!
But they still had the baked and fried chicken - but where are the breast pieces - and please don't say Covid!
I'll be back, so don't raise the price and get some breast pieces!

Awesome pizza and other foods, great place to meet up with family and reasonable prices. Always come here when I'm in town, reminds me of pizza from home.

Good place. We went here after a long trip from BWI to LAX. Pizza was surprisingly good. Chicken wasn't bad, but it was really the pizza that stuck with us. We'll definitely be back.

Visited here on vacation and I already can't wait to go again just so I can have Shakey's pizza again! Cute little arcade for farming tickets and the wife likes the selection on tap.

Shakey's is an iconic place that dwells in my memories from when I was a kid. Although this was the first visit I've been back in about 30 years, the food tastes identical to the way it was back in the day. This is no small feat. So many childhood restaurants have come and gone or changed beyond recognition, but Shakey's food remains unchanged. It was so nice to remember those flavors from back when I was a kid. This doesn't mean the food is great, but the pizza and the chicken get the job done. If you have picky eaters like my kids, this may be a solid hit for you, like my kids. 5 stars for nostalgia, 4 stars for the food.

Nothing other than the chicken was above average and that includes the service. The pizza was okay, it really wasn't bad but nothing about it stood out and the "signature pizzas" were the same ones every other pizza place has. Again though I must state it wasn't bad. The Chicken was perfectly crisp and crunchy and I liked that they served the sauces on the side. It kept that perfect crunch to the chicken. The salad bar was questionable at best. Looked like a lot of canned vegetables with a few greens. All in all as I stated this place was just okay

I definitely enjoy the food here. Their mojo potatoes are tasty and their children and pizza is a great combination. Definitely recommend this place.

A fun and family friendly environment, food was delivered quickly and hot, the Mojos, as always, were very good The staff was friendly and kept out table cleared and clean

We miss our Shakey in the South Bay Chula Vista. Best chicken and mojos ever. It was so good to dine there again. We will be back.

I expected more from this place, some people no mask, my order was messed up after waiting 40 min for 1 pizza and some mojo's
