Shanghai No 1 Seafood Village reviews
17Food was amazing. Service was great. Came in at 8pm and service was very fast. Prices were decent, around 10-20 for regular dishes and 60 for the crab. The food was creative and exceptional. Parking was good
The most authentic Shanghainese food you are going to get in the Los Angeles area. I strongly suggest their braised fish, stir fry eels, pork belly, and white woodear and taro dessert. The atmosphere is representative of the authentic cuisine, great for booking out for private parties and group dinners.
The BEST Chinese restaurant I’ve ever had in San Gabriel! All the taste flavor are 100% same as in my hometown and remind me of my grandma who is from Shanghai. The soy sauce pork are really, really amazing and surprising to me! Definitely will come again!
The food here is pretty average and the reason I am giving 2 stars is because there was hair on our food!
Easily one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Valley.tasty dim sum and dishes, very reasonable pricing, attentive service and clean place. I would highly recommend trying this place for good authentic Chinese food.
Traditional Chinese decor, reminiscent of 1920s Shanghai, with dark woods, glittering chandeliers, and velvety reds. Unlike other dim sum places I've visited, the dining areas are sectioned off with screens and curtains into their own semi-private rooms, making for a more sedate, intimate experience.
Plenty of dim sum mainstays like feng zhao, shu mai, etc, as well as specialty Shanghainese cuisine
GOOD! So so good! Came on a Friday morning, and was seated immediately. The dim sum and other dishes are all excellent. My top favorites were the Shanghai smoked fish, black fungus with wasabi, mustard greens and crystal mushroom dumplings. Beautiful ambiance — will definitely take visiting guests here in the future.
Good dimsum during the lunch time. The restaurant is also known for its Shanghai cuisine. Located on second floor of the plaza. There is an elevator next to it.
They offer dim sum and Shanghai cuisine. Their dim sum and Shanghai food are quite good. However their waiting staff may depend on your luck.
My wife a friend of hers and I went for dinner, Omg food is super delicious, authentic, wide variety of dishes, place is great stuff very friendly just awesome food, definitely going back for more
Terrible.
1 star for service. Not authentic at all. Ordered xiaolongbao, no soup in it, must have been steamed too long. Too salty overall. Can't believe they are still open.
Shanghai No. 1 restaurant has been opened about 10 years, and it was closed during the Covid-19 pandemic but reopened this year. I would say it is an authentic Shanghainese cuisine restaurant on Valley Blvd in the heart of San Gabriel Valley. The restaurant decorations are traditional Chinese designs, and there are 5 luxury dining rooms if you like to have a special occasioned party. The foods are excellent and can be expensive depending on your pocket and taste. Currently, can't travel to China but if you want to have real Shanghainese food, this is a 5 stars restaurant.
Very authentic Shanghainese style pork liver and braised eels. The chef and servers are from Shanghai as you can hear them speaking Shanghainese.
The service is excellent maybe they know i am a big tipper haha but the food is really good
It's under new ownership so everything still a little out of order. The AC was down in the morning when it opens but took over 3 hours getting it back to work. We're sweating during our lunch but the delicious dim sum has made us forgiving the unease. Good customer service and food prices were reasonable for a plush restaurant.
The food was good but the service was not. The staff were not friendly. They didn't even have glasses for drinks. We were given plastic cups for both water and champagne. When we asked for champagne glasses, they said they didn't have any glasses for wine or champagne. Very reluctantly, they brought us some water glasses for the champagne.
