Shanghai Reds Bar & Grill reviews
25Amazing fish tacos and drinks. We are here every time we are in Palm Springs. This is our go to place for friends and family.
Best fish tacos in the world! Tucked behind Fisherman’s market & grill. Amazing fish and shrimp tacos and other items on the menu that pair great with a Modelo beer! Everyone I have shared a meal with here has loved the food, except my CrAnky older sister Monica!
We had the fish tacos, bacon wrapped shrimp. Coconut shrimp for dinner and the Shrimp Diablo it was amazing. All portions are great amount. Highly recommend.
While the food is good here, $18 for two tacos is too pricey for the overall quality. Service was rushed and the $11 Ceaser salad was meh. Won't be returning soon.
Yesterday was our first time we visited this magnificent restaurant. But It is definitely not the last. We enjoyed the evening very much with the courteous service, with the fine cuisine and fine drinks and with the comfortable pay. We will no doubt come back soon.
This place used to be great. But they've changed the menu so drastically.
Never heard of a New Orleans style cajun oyster bar, that doesn't serve New Orleans style charbroiled oysters or cajun style oysters. The Rockafeller oysters are made in a bizarre way. Not sure why the changed had their recipe.
The main entrees are really nothing special anymore. I think they fired their chef and just replaced him with a line cook.
The bartender is also nothing special.
This place was at one time one of my favorites. Now, it's just another okay-ish place. Can no longer reccomend anymore.
Sorry.
Not as good as it was a few years ago, the food was okay but we use to visit every few days, and the food was not as good.band is good but beer was burnd. The decor is really cool and staff friendly but its not a local spot anymore, more for tourist i think.
I've never had a bad meal here and I always get great service from what seems the friendliest staff. Shrimp tacos are amazing, and we always get the sauteed mushrooms. Great place to start the night - right next to the parking structure, and there's live music on the weekends. Definitely a top 5 in PS.

Shanghai Red's is the best place to come if you have family of friends from out out town and want to take them to a place that is unique and entertaining with the live jazz/blues band.
The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is enjoyable and food is delicious. I recommend the Fish Tacos or Ahi Poke. If it couldnt get any better there is free parking next door.
Looking forward to my next visit.
Great food in outdoor atmosphere. They have some seating inside as well. If you like seafood then this would be the place to go. The service was great.
Fish tacos, live music and drinks are the reason to visit this place. It is definitely a great place to visit when experiencing Palm Springs.
My and I are there on Anthony Bourdains fish tacos review. Best damn fish tacos in the State of California hands down! RIP Anthony Bourdain
Live band, outdoor seating, good service and delicious fish tacos recognized by the late Anthony Bourdain.
Go when there is live music, such a great place to eat.best place to get seafood in Palm Springs
My husband really liked his tempura shrimp, but the shrimp in the shrimp tacos was very cold. Also the music and TV audio at once was a bit much. Great waitstaff.
The cozy locals place hidden behind fish market. Don't miss this one. Famous for fish tacos and lamb is amazing
One of the absolute best in Palm Springs! Excellent food, full bar, and great live music on weekends. And if you’re lucky enough to be visiting Thursdays through a Sundays, then you must get the lobster bisque, or you’re missing out on the best thing that can happen to your tastebuds!
After not visiting Palm Springs for 6 months, I couldn't wait to hit my favorite restaurant again. Shanghai Reds is behind Fishermans Marketplace and shares their kitcken.
The fish is amazing and fresh. I had the Ahi Poke and Diablo Shrimp pasta.
What an unexpected surprise. In Palm Springs for a Gals Weekend Getaway and we were looking for casual patio seating, interesting ambiance, good food and live music.we found it all at Shanghai Reds. The fish tacos were fabulous and the band was really good. Fun night!
