Sharp Rees-Stealy Mira Mesa Radiology and Mammography, San Diego CA

I have had a knee injury for three months. I have seen multiple PCP's, been to the ER twice, Urgent Care and now a specialist. The specialist injected my knee with cortisone 6 weeks ago which did nothing. Now after three months I finally get a referral for an MRI. I have had continuous swelling, stiffness, pain and redness. How is it that now I have to wait another month for a MRI? !

Sharp in general is the worst and most inefficient healthcare facility O have ever been to. Three months have passed and not one healthcare professional has had the common sense to A) image my knee for an MRI or CT, B) drain it, C) send me to PT. They have all played with ny health and used the guessing game disregarding my continuous requests for an MRI. Now this imaging center is adding on another month for an appointment.it should not take this long to get an MRI!

I received a phone call from Carrie on November 17. I was assuming that it was a reminder for my appointment on Monday. Carrie did not even know what she was calling me for. Apparently the MRI with perfusion can’t be performed and I will be referred to an facility.

I don’t understand because I have been going there for years. I calling back for clarification and I was told that I would have to wait for a phone call from the facility that I was referred to.

I clarified that it is not an issue with my insurance coverage.

This is very frustrating because I have already scheduled time off from work and follow up appointments with my specialists to review the results. Not a good way to start off Thanksgivings week.

It took over a month to book an appointment. During my app confirmation call I was provided an estimate for copay and was told that I will be billed. I arrived at 6 am and was refused service. Alicia and Lilianal lacked kindness or sympathy. I was told that no manager is available to help. I do not recommend this facility.

I had a procedure today at Sharp Radiology Activity Road. Met Nicole and Dr. Guzman and they are awesome. Nicole was very nice and made me feel so comfortable. Also had good experience on my last month appointment with Cyntia. People there are the best.thank you!

The people at this facility were beyond FANTASTIC! The nurse was hilarious and definitely made me forget how scared I was and the technician was really comforting. I rate them A+

Been here a few times. Clean, efficient, helpful. Not as bad of experience as expected. They let me use my sleep mask and ear plugs when doing an MRI as I'm claustrophobic. Sometimes scheduled times are not helpful but it is the only location in the area so they are busy. Recently, there was some confusion as my appt time. Heard from 3 different people, all said something alittle different plus, I was scheduled and screened but was called again for screening. Huh? Does one hand know what the other hand is doing? All very nice though.

They need to update their hours, they are only open M-F, sort of a waste of time to call a place for scheduling when they are allegedly open

Impossible to get through on the phone after trying for 2 days. First said “in a meeting” for 1 day — would not accept a voicemail message. Then said “unexpected closure” for the next full day and still would not accept a voicemail message. Sharp is just awful.

Staff is friendly and helpful. The Interventional Radiology Department is clean and efficient. I find the physicians and staff compassionate and caring. Making a sometimes unpleasant procedure tolerable. Thank you very much for caring.
