Shaver Lake Cottages at the Point

Great view! You can throw a rock at the lake from cabin 6 or 7 with the others not being to far behind! Place looks great at night with string lights! Cottage 6 & 7 were very nice and cozy great interior. Will be back as soon as I get the chance!

Cute cabins with great lake view. Clean bedding, clean towels, clean shower! Very cozy with a glass of wine right at dark enjoying the propane fire pit and looking at the serene lake! Also, so quiet I can read my book very comfortably, Great place! We look forward to coming back in the winter as well!

So this review is solely based on the restaurant. My friends wanted to go because prior to covid it was really good. We just went and there was a limited lunch menu and the prices were insane. Every kids meal was $15. The burger was a slider. The adult meatball sandwich was around $30. For a family of 3 we spent over $100. The service was ok. They did give us extra fries but no substance to the food. Everything I ordered was not accurate to the description on the menu. The restaurant can definitely use a refresh but we definitely will not be coming back solely based on the prices. I do not know how this place stays in business with such a good location.

Very poor management with no empathy towards life’s circumstances! My parents recently booked a stay here and we’re unable to make the trip due to unforeseen medical conditions. My Mom canceled within the 5 days and rescheduled since that was the only option to a later date. Unfortunately, my Dads medical conditions took a turn for the worse and are now terminal and my parents will no longer be able to make the trip at all. My mom explained the situation to the manager and unfortunately all they’re willing to do is leave her credit on the books. I’ve called and tried to speak on her behalf and let her know that my mom will not be able to make the trip at all and would definitely be able to use the $500 elsewhere given my dad’s conditions. All the manager, Sally said is my policies are my policies that’s the best she can do. I can’t make any exceptions. I understand there are rules and regulations and they can’t make exceptions for everyone, but this is a pretty straightforward exception and I would hope that someone would have enough compassion for someone’s situation and do the right thing! I am very dissatisfied in the way this business handled my Moms unfortunate circumstances. I as well as other business owners know that they very much can make exceptions when they want to and especially when it comes down to doing the right thing. I’m sure it’s not every day people need to cancel due to their spouse being terminally ill and it’s unfortunate that Sally can’t make an exception in this situation. I hope she is satisfied with her ability to hold right to the policies and procedures!

Perfect little getaway spot for my husband, and I to take a retreat to nature away from the kids. It’s beautiful right now with the snow! The cabin was a little dusty so bring allergy meds but it was warm and cozy and had coffee. Spring mattress was still comfy in the queen bed! The water from the faucet is drinkable and ice cold and quickly heats when you need it to. I appreciated the Wolfgang Puck coffee and porch fire. I wish there were actual coffee mugs instead of the tiny stroganoff cups but at least there was good vanilla creamer. When you have nature’s playground outside your door, you don’t need a huge space to stay in. We will definitely be back!

We just got home and we stayed in cabin #7 the lake cabin, the cabin was clean, and so quaint inside. It had a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains. They kept the roads clean, so driving in the snow is easy since I am not experienced in driving in the snow I felt very safe. We will be booking again! Thank you
