These guys are crooks. The presented themselves to be Shaver Lake Village Lodge "WHO THEY ARE NOT! " to my girlfriend making reservations refusing to give their address until she gave credit card number. THEN, add a $150 cleaning fee +$35 process fee. Once we realize this is a bogus scam, they refuse to refund our money if we cancel. SCAM ALERT!

Worth every penny but Definitely a learning experience for all in the dangers of Forest Fires. But my family is already planning to go back during summer. Absolutely Amazing

Wow, what a horrible experience with VACASA Management company.
I wanted to book a quick vacation before Christmas to take my family only about 40 miles from our home to a cabin in the Snow. VACASA is the company that hosts most of the available rentals in the Shaver lake area.
I booked a rental for 3 days with my Hawaiian Airlines credit card to earn points for our next travel to Hawaii. I own a vacation home in Hawaii so I use that card when booking vacations to earn points. (Makes complete sense to me) However, VACASA cancelled my reservation and I was told that I would be refunded and for me to “Find accommodations elsewhere”!
What? Are you kidding me? TAKE MY ACCOMMODATIONS ELSEWHERE?

Ok.no problem. I went ahead and rented a 6 bedroom for (2 adults and 2 kids) and paid twice as much for another cabin because I can. I will most certainly take my business and accommodations elsewhere per your request!

All because your identity process would not take an additional step to verify my identity! I spoke to Jennifer the manager and she said once my name is “flagged” in the system I could not rent from VACASA. NO PROBLEM!
I will make sure to tell all of my friends and family that travel frequently around the World to watch out for VACASA as they could possibly ruin a wonderful vacation for you and your family because their Identity process is ridiculous.
I understand that we all need to be careful from identity theft and crimes that happen, however I WAS TREATED LIKE A CRIMINAL trying to use my own Credit Card, and then told to take my accommodations elsewhere!

Fortunately, I didn’t allow VACASA to ruin our family vacation for my daughters bday and early Christmas.

The cabin we rented was pricy and pretty much a dump. I’m not super picky so that was ok but they could have let us know to bring extra water since the water was not drinkable! There was something wrong with the sewer and it smelled bad. There was no blow dryer and the flyer on the fridge said if we forgot something to call and they will fix it quickly. So I called and they said they would let the owners know. No one came! We will not be back.

This is the second time we rent from vacasa and we end up with a dirty house! NEVER AGAIN! Couches were stained dirty full of dog hair! Beds were full of hair and stains! There is no way they washed any of those beddings! How it’s midnight and I’m washing sheets!

Beautiful cabin but an hour after checking in my 20 year old was racking the balls and the 12 year old pull out one of the pull outs and it pushed him against it not to hard just a nudge and the table crashed down almost smashing the feet of my son. Only to find out from maintenance they already had to repair the other side so they were aware this was falling apart also placed it on both pull out couches and put caution tape. Only leaving access for the restroom. When I ask what they were goin to do to make it right they said we sent a $50 refund. Really I paid almost $1000 for a weekend of pool and fun and we couldn’t access the bottom floor also almost hurting my children and I can’t even get a 30% discount.

Fireside Retreat Spring Break 2021

We loved our stay with the fam ️ House is just like the pics and I really liked the layout. Everything was clean and all amenities were nicely laid out. The kids had a blast sledding right outside from all the snow left from a week earlier. When it was time to come back inside the game room upstairs was a great play area for kids and young adults. Everyone slept comfortably in their beds with no complaints. Streaming was too difficult to watch movies together in the living room so dvd's and a gaming console may be a better option. The location is great and look forward to booking another stay soon!

Rental advertised Cable TV and Pool Table.
TV didn't work and there were no pool balls or a rack. Dangerous broken edges of pool table and deck. Was told Vacasa would contact me. They have not.

Welp.we booked a cabin weeks ago. I had read a few reviews remarking that Vacasa had cancelled on people just days before their trip, so I called to confirm that everything was ok with our reservation. They assured me that it was. Three days before my trip, they sent an email cancelling. Will never use Vacasa again.

TERRIBLE!
Do Not Use This Company! Non-exist customer service, hidden charges, inflated prices, cannot get anyone to answer any questions, they cancelled my reservation & then charged me a fee for me to get MY MONEY BACK! WHAT A RIP OFF! This is a huge scam, never again

Leaving one star is pushing it. Wish I was able to leave zero stars and leave a review but that is not possible.

I've had Eagle's Nest Condo #83 booked and paid for in-full since February 24,2020. One week ago today I spoke to Kevin in the Shaver Lake Vacasa office to confirm my reservation and inquire about the check-in procedure. He confirmed my reservation and said I'd be receiving an email with the check-in information and key whereabouts 48 hours prior to check-in. Today, exactly one week prior to checking-in I received a cancellation notice due to Covid-19 issues. All short-term lodging providers in Lakeshore were to remain closed. WHAT? Why wasn't I given the courtesy of at least a "heads up" that local government hadn't even opened up Lakeshore?

Sadly, a family weekend was planned so many months ago has been ruined due to lack of transparency. You can do better Shaver Lake Vacation Rentals by Vacasa!

We had reservations for memorial weekend and 1 1/2 days before they canceled our reservations! That was not enough time to get something else!

They say it was covi 19 related, but they accepted our reservations and money 2 months before, even though Covid-19! So the excuse of that was nothing but BS! DONT BOOK ANYTHING WITH VACASA!

DONT DO BUSINESS WITH VACASA!

This was the first and last time i will book with Vacasa vaction rentals. I had a reservation for Tomorrow 5/23/2020 til Monday 5/25/2020 with my family, nothing on the site or nothing from the host stated it could be cancelled. We planned this with other friends who also booked cabins in shaver. We received an email Wed.night 2 days before my planned trip that they cancelled us. None of my other friends were cancelled and now it's too late to find anything else. Needless to say i am disgusted by this type of service. We had spent money on all our supplies and what we needed for the weekend only to have someone ruin it for us.i will not stay at any Vacasa rentals, because apparently they don't have the consideration or care if they ruin your plans. My friends will all be going and thanks to Vacasa i missed out on an experience for my kids and on fun. DO NOT BOOK WITH VACASA, THEY ARE A JOKE.

@Ruby Cinceros we have been on hold for 3 hours because of the same reason they just today told us that our cabin was canceled due to covid (a week before we were supposed to leave) and that they wouldn’t give us our money back! There is actually a law that they have to give the money back if the cancellation was because of covid.

I will never try booking with this place again. They were quick to take my money and 1 week before my vacation they cancelled on me due to “covid-19” and said they won’t refund my money. I didn’t cancel my rental THEY did so how does the cancellation “policy” apply to me. This is a scam and all they want to do is take your money.

Very pricy and the nonrefundable is ridiculous, at almost $200. The cabins are nice, but again, the price for two night stay is outrageous unless you just won the lottery. Won't stay there again.
