This review is for the Shell gas station on Washington st and Fourth Avenue in Hillcrest San Diego. The manager was extremely rude and out of line! I went to ask for a refund immediately after the drive through car wash did not wash my car properly and he yelled at me wiped his dirty thumb across my windshield left a mark and cursed at me! Wow horrible customer service! Awful!

Very expensive gas. Car wash slow. The store itself is nice I suppose, and it appears clean. But I haven’t seen higher prices on gas anywhere is San Diego.

Worst car wash ever. $7, took almost a hour to get theought with 3 cars ahead. Girl at counter would not refund. Cheaper to hit Point Loma. $5 for wash and dry. Out in 10 min tops.

The owner is a bum and a crook, got higher priced gas than other Shell stations in La Jolla & Del mar.
They got the worst prices on gas go 2 blocks down to mobile or Chevron and save some cash. The owner is a bum who tried to charge me for using air to pump my tires when it should be free and the highest priced car wash.
I bought gas in the morning and when I needed to put air in my tires his employees told me, it is not free and I have to buy something based on the owners policy.

These dummies got me fired up to call the city and state offices which by law require Gas stations to let anyone at anytime use an air pump for free.
Go 2 blocks West or 2 blocks east you can find better value for your money on gas, drinks or car wash.

I will never visit this rip off location again.

Went there last night around midnight I put $65 in gas & then I asked Sharleen who was working to use the air pump because my car tire was really low. This person has such a bad attitude & rolled her eyes at me like I was bothering her & told me the air pump wasn’t working (I HAVE A RECORDING) even though I used it that morning because I have a slow leak & until I get my rim fixed I need to put air in it twice a day. Sharleen broke the law 41-016a/w (Rev. 0512) & I am submitting a complaint to the Department of Food and Agriculture & they will be fined. I know the air is working but she was being lazy & plain rude because she didn’t want to get up and turn it on for me after I paid $65 in gas, I use that gas station every week but I am tired of Sharleen discriminating against me because I am trans & I am tired of her stank attitude. She owe me an apology & she should be let go because her customer service sucks.

You won’t find me reviewing a gas station very often. But this one I am absolutely in love with. It’s right on my way to work so it makes stopping to get a refill so easy. The drink selection is off the charts. There’s every energy drink you can imagine. The staff is super friendly they remember who you are. The only time I’ve seen service like this is at QuikTrip outside of California

Gas prices are consistently more than $. 50 higher here than at another gas station with a four letter name that starts with ‘A’

This shell station is in the upper tier of stations.

They offer coffee, kerosene, firewood, and a whole mini mart full of snacks and drinks.

This is one of the few stations that you can get kerosene at.

Finally a Shell in our neighborhood that accepts the Home Depot Rewards program!
This location also has an automatic drive through car wash which takes a couple of minutes to wash your car and gives you every 5th wash free. Very convenient.

Great customer service and some of the best gas around. Get a free fuel rewards card from shell. Then you automatically receive discounts on gas per gallon. Combine it with shopping at Ralph's or Food 4 less and get up to another. 20¢ off per gallon.

Clean, fast quick item choices. It is near my medical office & bus. I ran in for cold healthy drink & snack. It solved my problem! Fast service!

Always highest gas prices in hillcrest. No trash cans to clean car and so many panhandlers that management doesn't remove from property.

Poor customer service. Nick is his name. I had a simple complaint. My car was was not effective. I had paid $9.00 for the wash. I came back the following day to ask for a rewash. The staff was not authorized to issue one. They called Nick and he refused. Told me to come back the next work day (a Monday) to talk to him. What a waste of $9 and time. They are overpriced on gas as well. I used this locations several times. Never again.
