Great tasting ramen noodles and broth. The service is also quick. Even with a big line I never had to wait more than 30 to 45 mins.

Food, fantastic. Service almost always 10/10. Since the lock downs I can only assume they changed owners. Food has definitely changed slightly, they have removed the RGB bomb as well as a few smaller items from the menu. They used to cover the walls with events and specials, even had a beautiful chalk mural on the chalk board all while blasting anime music. This was peak Shin-sen-gumi! Since the lock downs they erased the chalk mural, ditched the classic dive look, and I have not heard anime music once. Food and service will bring me back again and again, but the atmosphere I have come to know and love has gone way down hill over the past few years.

If you love spam musubi.you have to try the chashu musubi! LOVE it! Also recommend the cutlet curry.

DELICIOUS! My taste buds were very very very happy! Go to this place for delicious ramen and ice cold beer! Do NOT go to Ramen "King"!

When we walked in, we were skeptical because the smell of the area is awful. It’s very distracting. We then went to order and it was a little overwhelming, but Kevin was so kind and walked us through the menu. We ordered and the food came out, and the taste was top quality. The flavors were amazing! We’ll definitely be coming back, but hopefully the smell is better by then.

The flavor of hakata is great! So is the Dan Dan. Nice serves and atmosphere.
The main Hakata Hakata ramen here is divided into original flavor and spicy flavor, which is Dandan taste.
You can choose the hardness of the noodles and the soup by yourself. There are a wide variety of side dishes and you can also choose your own ingredients.
Side dishes include fried chicken, fried oysters, fried dumplings, etc.
Try Hakata Gyoza. It is hot and fragrant, but the taste is average.
Dantan noodles are very fragrant, it can be more delicious if it is more spicy
The original flavor is very fragrant and not too heavy from Hakata. It’s pretty good.
The portion is large and the cp value is high
Remember to pair it with soft-boiled eggs for perfection!
The store is not big, but it is a very interesting and warm store where everyone communicates in Japanese

Ramen is okay. Definitely nothing to write home about but also not the worst ramen I’ve had.

The worst ramen store I have tried in LA

I ordered the Dan Dan ramen, which I wouldn’t even call it a ramen, it feels like a Chinese soup noodle dish
We also got bamboo, which is served in a frozen tiny dish
I’m pretty sure the bamboo have sit in the freezer for a longgggg time, it’s cold and doesn’t taste like bamboo at all
But the most disappointing part was the gyoza
It’s not fresh, microwaved, mushy, I have to spit it out so won’t get a possible diarrhea in the next day
Besides the food, the floor is sticky, and the store smells musty inside
The service was good but I believe there are so many other ramen places with the same quality of service

Not sure what happened to this place. Used to have pretty awesome ramen. I did goto Japan for a few months so either my taste buds evolved or this place went a bit downhill.

The broth tastes like salt water. The meat is not good. Noodles were ok. Overall it's just not how I remembered it to be.

One of my go-to places to get some good ramen! Portions may be on the smaller side, you can order extra noodles/toppings if needed, but ultimately it is worth. Their soft-boiled egg is delicious, along with the easily drinkable soup broth.

This is my only ramen spot to go. Nice& cozy place with quick&helpful staffs. I always have to get a bowl of ramen, takoyaki and side of fried chicken.

We went here for dinner after an escape room nearby. It has been a long time since last visit. The soup tastes a little different but still good. It is kind of salty for me, but my friends are good with it. Overall, it worths to try!

Great Ramen, with many choices to customize! Even as specific as firmness of noodles. Love the fried oysters as well. They forgot our second fried oyster last time but just a minor mistake. It is a bit small so there is a wait at times and you can’t always check in on yelp if they shut check-ins off. I really wish they would bring back the black sesame ice cream!

The place had a smell of spoiled sewer and the minced pork was frozen in the bowl. The noodle itself was ok but the experience was very unappetizing. Would recommend avoiding this establishment.

Worse! I guess the boss has changed. MSG is added to the soup. The price is more expensive and the portion is smaller.

Been coming here for years. I love their ramen its always hits the spot.it's also better on a cold day.

Always killer. I can't get enough of this ramen! At only $11 a bowl it's very well priced! Come during lunch where they have lunch combos and it's never busy.
