This place is a hidden gem for South OC, especially if you're in need of legit Arabic food but don't want to spend 30 min driving all the way to Anaheim's Little Arabia neighborhood. As someone who is well-versed in Levantine cuisine, I can testify that Shish Taouk is not only authentic, but delectably homestyle. This is not a commercialized chain like DonerG or Halal Guys. The shawarma meat here is properly spiced and sliced in pieces, not into processed "meat shavings". They also have lamb, a huge step up from the standard beef or chicken. Shish Taouk is also unique because of its homemade sides and desserts, which are not offered at other places. The falafel, stuffed grape leaves (the best I've had in SoCal so far), fried eggplant/potatoes, and fattoush/tabouli salads are all on par. The Hommos and toum (garlic sauce) are perfect. The baqlawa and namoura excellent (if only they had knafeh, this place would be heaven). But the icing on the cake is the time-tested sense of Lebanese hospitality. Every time I order, I get a little "freebie" of falafel or salad. You aren't just a number in a line here - you're family.

This is the best place for labanesse food. Quality and taste is #1. Owner and personnels are very friendly and very hospitable. Owner always trat me with extra food. I definitely suggest eating at this place. Wallah food is good!

This place was so good! The owner was so nice and helpful and also seen him assure customers with certain allergies that they take a lot of pride and care to make sure their food gets handled correctly. I had the mix shawarma with chicken and beef, it was really delicious! It came with hummus and garlic sauce potatoes and pita. I also had the grape wrap and usually I don’t like those but these were amazing l. I will definitely be back with friends.

My plate was full of rice and big fried potatoes. Can’t swallow it without too much water. Very little meat for the price charged. 6-8 pieces of shawarma meat. It is rip-off.

I ate the chicken and beef/lamb shawarma plate with a side of falafel. It was so delicious and the portions were large. The owner and his wife are very friendly individuals. This place is gluten free friendly. Every bite felt like it was made with love. Thank you!
