3Great spot to shoot at and surprisingly good cell reception, but can someone please pave the dirt road that parallels the rail road track (at least far enough down the road until one can reach BLM territory). It's already bad enough having to drive 4 hours round trip to legally shoot outdoors, but I don't want to also have to buy a truck or 4WD vehicle to do so. I know some of the other reviews say this area is easily accessible, but my sedan felt like it was about to fall apart and I was going slower than walking speed. I recommend bringing a spare tire if you come here because some of the rocks in the road and the potholes on Split Mountain road (caused by the heavy Gypsum Mine trucks) look like they could ruin your day.
Great spot to shoot. Be prepared for locals to fight with you (justifibly so) if you are a person who leaves trash behind.
Great spot, bring your own shade. Show Respect, take all your trash out with you!
