Sierra Heavy Duty RV & Truck Center reviews
15I call this place, the guy call Nate was ok on the phone. I do have a generator problem. He do some search found that starter was not available and evaluated 5 hours job to fix it at 150$/hour. Clearly, not qualified, I do find the part available a 74$ on amazon prime. When I ask him to find a solution, he said it’s not my problem. As a tourist from Eastern Canada, we are far away from home and need the generator for daily use. When I was that that, I said to myself, let’s try to remove myself. I do the removal in less than one hour. I found that the plastic gear of the starter was broken in two part. I found the gear in a lawn mower tractor repair shop but finally decide to order a new starter, keeping the old and the gear as back up. I also order a new solenoid. Sometimes, garage owner think we are good pray not knowing our problem. I did know starter was ok, something could be the problem, the gear that engages the large gear of the engine, a V twin from Brigg & Stratton. I read on the Internet and found where the starter was located and the type of starter. By the way, GENERAC was no help at all. Thanks to the Internet. Keep in mind if 150$/hours is ok for you for average garage that is the place for you but for me, the attitude was a no go.
Steve and Rick and their people are great at what they do-no matter what class your rig is. Nice guys who know what they're doing. Fair prices.
They've kept both my trailers on-the-road.
Awesome experience very nice people I recommend them to everyone they will be who I will always go to!
I love this place, the owner Steve is an amazing person, so helpful and knowledgeable and the staff so friendly. They did an excellent job on my RV. This is the place I will go always. Excellent Service
I had a minor accident, they dropped everything to get me back on the road, way beyond the call, truly amazing! Best decision to come here i ever made! Joe Riley
Best and friendliest service! Very helpful and accommodating. Some of the nicest guys I've come across in America.
Visiting California and need rv supplies, parts they seem like every time we call or stop by they don't have anything in stock. Disappointing!
Steve and his team went out of their way to take care of us. They treat you like family here. Honest, kind, thorough and reasonable prices. I would go out of my way to get service here in the future. Steve was a gem working with our extended warranty company and even let us stay on the property with hook ups in our RV while the parts were being ordered. We have such gratitude! I highly recommend this business.
Everyone including Nate, Keith, James, owner Steve Henley, and the rest of the team are very knowledgeable, helpful, thorough, and sincere in wanting too meet the needs of the customer. Moreover, they went beyond my expectations on service, repairs or special issues and they stick to estimates even if the actual job becomes more difficult than expected.
I broke a lift bracket hook on my travel trailer while driving home from camping at Pinecrest. I went to several places in Sonora looking for a replacement to no avail. I called Sierra Heavy Duty RV, they had what I needed, charged me a fair price, and had me up and running. They were knowledgeable and helpful.
Very helpful and even offered to install the tailgate lifts on my camper shell. Was great! Very friendly staff as well. Thanks!
Great service. Steve is great got me hooked up with a water heater and an AC in my travel trailer. Highly recommend this place for all your Rv needs.
Used the Covid-19 quarantine restrictions for not having enough staff to do the job correctly the first time. Dometic RM1350 refrigerator cooling unit replacement? My refrigerator after 3 tries is as of today 5/15/20 is still not working correctly!
Air leaks, holes in insulation, gaps in foil tape, space around wiring, parts that should have been replaced as part of the process to make things right were not done or even asked if it was authorized to replace the damaged parts!?
They are repairing my class A, Diesel motor home, doing mostly body work and painting. So far it seems as if they are doing a great job. I would recommend them to anybody who needs RV repairs.
