Sierra Oaks Apartments, Turlock CA

After living here for a year and wishing I'd not signed another year lease, I can safely say this complex isn't all it seems. Neighbors are increasingly inconsiderate. My wife and I can hear the toddlers below us running around for 6+ hours a day with nothing being done about it. Ants are everywhere. Parking is a crapshoot depending on what time you arrive (8am-11am is fine, after that good luck). People drive through the complex with their radio cranked to max. Noise from Christoffersen/Golden State has gotten worse over the 14 months we've been here. My wife and I are moving out as soon as we can. Sadly that won't be until December when they're going to try and raise our rent another $140 a month again.

Edit: We've had to turn in our 30 day notice because they're once again increasing our rent to nearly the maximum allowed by law. Which if my math is correct is nearly an 80% increase over when we moved in. The complex has gone even further down hill. The outside of the buildings and the breezeways are disgusting. The only thing that's maintained is the clubhouse. Noise is at an all time high, response to issues is garbage. Our AC has gone out 2 weeks in a row in the middle of summer and it's not considered an emergency because it's not 95+ outside because "you can just open the windows". The cops have had be called multiple times for what sound like domestic arguments by brand new tenants.

I hope the state takes a good look at this place's practices and does something about it.

Love the fast maintenance and diligent work. This community stays beautiful thanks to the hard working staff!

Martina helped us out tremendously on our move in date this Saturday. She was super helpful, knowledgeable and such a positive person. She made our experience applying at Sierra Oaks better than our original applying experience. If you decide to apply ask for her, she is the best.

Martina was extremely helpful through the introduction and further on into the process of signing the lease, answered all questions with precision and was able to get everything resolved less than a week.

Office staff is terrible! Especially SARA. Rodents & Roaches that get swept under the rug and not dealt with. You will be told it’s nothing and continuously lied to. There is NO SECURITY even tho there are gates. ITS FALSE SECURITY. It’s not worth the headache, money, security. The office doesn’t do anything when u have issues. They put it off till you nag and nag and nag. They get nothing done & they continue to give u false promises and hope. THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONES. They will look at it ring and if they don’t like who’s calling then to voicemail it goes. If u have any respect for u and ur family, there are plenty of other WAY BETTER complex’s around. All that’s glitter isn’t gold

Martina is the best! It’s our first time moving into an apartment not knowing the full process and how stressful apartment hunting can be, but Martina helped and guided us with a breeze! She’s always welcoming and full of joy and we really enjoyed having her help us through this process. If I could only leave 10 stars I would do it in a heartbeat! Thank you so much Martina! Would absolutely recommend!

If you are going to move here ask for Martina! We recently moved in just last week and it’s our first time apartment hunting and going through the process. For as difficult and stressful the entire process was, Martina was there every step of the way and helped guide us along to ensure we got our apartment. I cannot recommend her enough she is the BEST!

The worst customer service is here. They are least bothered even if you are in major problem (even because of them).
Cleanliness is BIG ZERO. After paying such hefty rent n maintenance all they give you is ZERO. Please refrain from renting this place.

Martina from the leasing office provided us with a tour and assisted us with such care and detail. Words can not explain the sense of relief I have felt throughout this guided processes. Martina is always very welcoming and friendly. She makes the experience of looking for an apartment great. She makes you feel at home. I moved in in March and had to leave for a personal matter. Beautiful apartment complex. Family friendly environment and the staff is amazing. We’ve lived here for a month and anything we’ve had questions about or issues with have been resolved within 24 hours. I would reckoning Sierra Oaks to ANYONE!
