Silicon Valley Property Management Group reviews
5 They're doing an AWFUL job with the St George Apartments in downtown Santa Cruz. At least their property manager Christin Coffin is. She's never around in their managers office (in the St George lobby) and when she actually is she's quite rude, I've lived in the St George since 2008 and we've had many property managers over the years, and unfortunately Christin is by far the worst. Even Coby and Miguel (the super and security guard) agree, though I doubt they'll admit to it.
We're kind of empty now, post covid, but we're certainly going to fill up again - if you want to avoid a huge turnover rate in new and subsequently unhappy tennant's you all should really get someone to replace Christin. Don't believe me? Ask some of the existing tenants or the other employees.
No very happy with this property manager. I had to usually chase for work to be scheduled and completed. Frequently, no responses at all. Several maintenance request ignored.
Very unflexible and unprofessional. Scheduling to tour the property was very hard since David was inflexible to meet during the week and when Saturday did not work we settled down for Sunday. When Sunday came I drove all the way to Palo Alto to meet David and he didn't even bother to show up. After 20 minutes of trying to reach him via phone and messages she finally told me that there was an emergency and he was unable to come. I do understand emergencies happen but not letting the other person know on time that you will not be able to meet them is extremely unprofessional.
Also when I arrived on premises the building was poorly maintained and landscape was non-existing. I will look for other places to live because this was total waste of time. If he is unresponsive like this with potential tenants imagine how he is when they need to fix something around the house.
Best-In-Class service in every category. As a tenant I can only speak to the user experience. Here is what makes renting from SVPMG "Best In Class" IMHO:
- Maintenance Requests are handled with an online ticketing system (very professional) and the response is so rapid it is actually startling.
- Professionalism, every interaction is professional, timely and geared towards my satisfaction as a tenant
- Responsive, the AC Repair rep told me yesterday "They (SVPMG) are the best to work with because we get our approvals almost immediately, which makes it easier for us to fix your unit"
- Security: As a security professional I really appreciate that they use multi-factor authentication (MFA/2FAC) to protect my login, payment and personal information
- Safety: We had a small maintenance issue, and when their maintenance person arrived, he fixed the issue and then proceed to check and replace CO2 sensors, smoke detectors, inspected fire extinguishers, etc. "This is just what we do"
### Very happy tenant, kudos to the homeowners for this property management, 5+ Stars!
