Silver Creek Campground reviews
10Spent one night in October before campgrounds closed for the season. Very Nice & next to Truckee river & given space 9 which was fine.
Gets cold at night but warms up fast when the sun comes over the trees. Best camping is on the lower shelf next to the river.
First off, there are NO SHOWERS so beware. I had reserved campsite 10 which was pretty small, full of ant hills and a big rock in the middle of the campsite. Fortunately the camp host allowed us to move to an available first come first serve campsite. We moved to #24 which is very spacious and right next to the river. Which was very relaxing! If you don't mind making a walk to your car to the campsite with all your camping stuff then I would recommend the campsites by the river. I would recommend checking this campsite for only a couple days since there's no showers. BEAUTIFUL PLACE THOUGH
Nice camp ground, but need little walk from the car, beware that it's walk in campsite but it's worth it.
Nice campground with tables and fire pits, but a little too much road noise and a long way to get water.
I got two campsites for myself and some friends! A day before the reservation, a large amount of smoke was pushed into the area and caused the air quality to drop. The weather was so bad, that it wasn’t recommended to be outside, so I canceled the trip. They won’t allow a refund, even though it was completely unhealthy to stay there. Completely unprofessional to not consider health conditions when someone cancels and wants a refund. Won’t be doing business with them again.
This place should not advertise for campers. Impossible to get in to most sites, even after telling them the length of our trailer. Definitely should be for tents only.
One of the worst campgrounds I have camped at. The spots are quite big with level ground and that's about the good part. There is one set of pit toilets for the entire campground with no lights and very dirty/cleaned infrequently. It's very close to the road which seems to be busy even in the night and very loud. Quite hours are never enforced and there was loud music all night from fellow campers.
Nice place to stay right on the Truckee River, if you don't mind the sound of the cars on the highway. This is our 2nd year camping here, and the bathrooms are cleaner than they were last year. They also smell better.most of the time
