Silver Surf Motel, San Simeon CA

Unclean, dusty, the fridge was falling out of the cabinet, and the mould in the room made my partner unwell. I recommend avoiding this place!

Right next to Hearst Castle and the elephant seals beach is the only reason to stay here, otherwise absolutely not worth the money. The bed in our room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was functional so if you have no other option it's fine, but don't expect to get any of the amenities that are described here. For some reason our room didn't have a coffee maker or a TV, even though it had coffee and coffee cups and a cable box and remote (and also no coffee in the lobby, they said there was only the coffee maker in the room which we didn't have). We were excited about the hot tub and pool too but they were so gross, visible dirt at the bottom of the hot tub and pool looked cloudy and like it was growing some algae so we didnt use either one. Don't know if the other motels nearby are any better but this one, definitely never again.

I stayed during my roadtrip from L. A.to S. F. The hotel is located in the middle of the way. Comfortable bed, renovated bathroom, nice small pool. Friendly service guy.

I enjoyed my stay at this motel. Great things: the price, the room was clean, the sheets soft, the bed comfortable, and the fridge cold. The location is great, close to Cambria if you want to have more dining options. The manager on duty was friendly and accomodating. Overall, a nice experience!

Power went out during the night I was there. If there was any other redeeming factor, perhaps it would be more than 1/5 stars.

Modest room with friendly service & good prices. Our room was clean, well kept & comfortable. Loved the fact that it was conveniently located a cross the beach with restaurants in walking distance. Jacuzzi was nice after a long day.

Location, location, location + a vintage indoor pool. Room was clean and big but had no phone or hair dryer. Staff are whacky; beware.

Always clean rooms and friendly service. Jose and all staff make you feel so comfortable and welcomed!

Direkt am Highway zwischen San Francisco und Los Angeles. Waren eine Nacht hier.
Wir hatten ein relativ neu renoviertes Zimmer, welches Sauber war.
Klimaanlage fehlte.
Gibt einen 12% Gutschein für das Nachbarrestaurant, welches gut ist.

The room was great. Modern looking, large and clean. The guy at the desk waited late into the night for us to arrive and check in.

The location is very close to Moonstone Beach and next door there's a really great place to eat named Big Sur. Highly recommended.
