Honestly would have been a zero if I had the choice. No NOT I repeat do not take your fur babies to this racist facility, not only do they not care about your pet, the moment a Mexican slightly raises their voice, we get threatened to get the cops called on. No help at all, knew that we needed to get our information for our babie to fly with us and a week before we leave they call us saying they can’t help, after we had made a payment to them already. Disgusted and hope this facility gets somewhat better with their racist workers. Definitely taking our business to people that actually care, and don’t wanna rob us.

My dog got bit and was initially treated at another vet. The next day she had signs of infection that were really concerning. After calling around all of Simi (including VSEC and other "emergency" hospitals) no one could take her. Once I called Simi Animal Hospital, the front desk staff was very attentive and heard my concerns and worry. They got me in immediately and took great care of my dog. The front staff, doctor, and technicians are all amazing and you could tell they truly care about animals. They have an amazing laser therapy service to help with the healing process and I could not recommend it more! My dog is back to her acting herself, eating and drinking and myself and my entire family is so grateful to have found this place!

Title: Beware: Unethical, Dishonest Scammer, and Alleged Racist at Simi Valley Animal Hospital!

Rating: (0 out of 5 stars)

Review:

I am deeply disturbed by the unethical and dishonest practices I encountered at Simi Valley Animal Hospital. My recent experience with one of their staff members was nothing short of appalling, and I feel obligated to warn others about this distressing encounter.

Upon visiting the hospital with my beloved pet, I interacted with an individual who demonstrated a shocking lack of ethics and honesty. This staff member not only tried to upsell unnecessary services but also blatantly misled me about the costs and benefits of these treatments. Their sole intention appeared to be to extract as much money from me as possible, rather than genuinely caring for my pet's well-being.

Furthermore, I was deeply saddened to witness racist behavior during my visit. The staff member made inappropriate comments and displayed disrespectful attitudes towards customers of diverse backgrounds. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable and has no place in any professional setting, let alone one dedicated to caring for animals and their owners.

Beyond this particular staff member's actions, the overall service at Simi Valley Animal Hospital was subpar. The facility seemed poorly managed, with disorganized procedures and long wait times. The lack of transparency regarding pricing and treatment options only added to the frustration and anxiety of pet owners seeking proper care for their animals.

As a responsible pet owner, I believe in treating animals with compassion and kindness. Unfortunately, my experience at Simi Valley Animal Hospital fell far short of these values, leaving me with a sense of betrayal and disappointment. I urge others to think twice before entrusting their beloved pets to this establishment.

In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend Simi Valley Animal Hospital, based on the unethical, dishonest, and racist behavior I witnessed during my visit. As pet owners, it is our responsibility to seek trustworthy and compassionate care for our animal companions, and this hospital has proven itself undeserving of that trust. Please explore other reputable veterinary options in the area that genuinely prioritize the well-being of your pets and treat customers with the respect they deserve.

It is with great disappointment and concern that I write this review about Simi Valley Animal Hospital. My recent encounter with them not only revealed their dishonest and scam-like practices but also exposed unsettling instances of racism, making it imperative to share my experience to raise awareness. Initially, I was disheartened by the hospital's dishonesty. Throughout my interaction, they provided misleading information and failed to deliver on their promises. The lack of transparency regarding costs and treatment options left me feeling deceived and betrayed. It is deeply troubling when a place that should prioritize the well-being of animals instead chooses to exploit and manipulate pet owners. Adding to my distress, I witnessed instances of racism during my visit. The staff demonstrated discriminatory behavior and displayed a clear bias towards certain clients based on their racial or ethnic background. Pets and their owners should be treated with equal respect and care, regardless of their race or ethnicity. The fact that Simi Valley Animal Hospital allowed such discriminatory practices within their establishment is utterly unacceptable and goes against the principles of fairness and compassion.
It is important to hold establishments accountable for their actions and address the issue of racism wherever it occurs. Discrimination has no place in any professional setting, particularly in one that deals with the health and well-being of our beloved pets. Considering my experience with Simi Valley Animal Hospital, I strongly urge pet owners to explore alternative options for their furry companions. Supporting establishments that prioritize honesty, integrity, and inclusivity is crucial. Our pets deserve care from professionals who respect and value their clients, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or background. Let us collectively strive for a more compassionate and inclusive world, where the well-being of animals and their owners is paramount, and discriminatory practices are vehemently rejected.

Dr. Stirewald and staff are incredible! We dumped our old Dr. R**'s after MANY years, to bring our babies here. Thank you Danielle and EVERYONE here. My dogs are my children. I place no higher trust than giving someone my trust of my dogs. You guys are amazing.

I got a quote in writing. When I arrived it doubled. They made a mistake and tried to justify it. They couldn't and never apologized or aknowledged it. They said it's because they never saw my dog. They did 2 months ago. They said I brought her to one of their clinic's. I did not. So I agreed to the price and said I was not happy about it. Then she said after you can take your dog somewere else. And that is what made me walk out. It was rude, unprofessional, and horrible customer service. I am very disappointed.

A few days ago, I discovered a lump in my elderly (16yo) dog’s lip. Our regular vet was booked out for over a week so I made a next day appointment at Simi Valley Animal Hospital. The staff were very nice and efficient.

The vet informed us that our dog most likely has an oral melanoma/cancer mass. The vet did not ask what we’d like to do moving forward and assumed that we wanted $600 worth of tests done (to confirm the type of mass and a blood test). When we said that we do not want any tests done, that we just want to keep our dog at home, the vet said “so you want [to do] nothing? ” and quickly ended the call. It felt like she was trying to make us feel bad for not getting the tests to confirm what she had just told us.

Additionally, during our visit we were billed for a senior wellness exam. When we got home, I noticed a large 1 cm tall bump in my dog’s ear. Something I feel that the vet should have seen during the wellness exam.
