Singh Family Medical Clinic: Ravinderjit Singh, MD

I chose this doctor about nearly two years ago because I wanted a doctor who cared about blood pressure management and preventative care. I’ve taken blood pressure medication since my late twenties and hoped I had finally found a doctor to assess my needs. Let me tell you, I was very wrong. I had been on a specific medication and the first thing this doctor does is switch me to a different one. Granted I wasn’t told why or no rhyme or reason to it. I was left without the medication for a full week and suffered bouts of high blood pressure. The new medication didn’t work so she switched again. And again. And.again. One of these medications made me suffer horrible anxiety attacks and chest pains. I had to beg her to take me off of it. I was placed on the medication I had originally been on before the switching.

Then I get calls for Pap smears and carotid scannings. I already have a gynecologist so why do I need a Pap smear from her? All this but no blood pressure monitoring? Nothing about my diet or exercise? Nothing about dosage? And forget about refilling a prescription - it takes them forever. They haven’t called me for an appointment in over a year - the last time they called they hung up in my face when I answered the phone. I had a skin allergy issue and all they told me was that I was allergic to everything and needed to see a specialist, no referral done. No follow up. No nothing. Now all of a sudden they need to see me and they’re refusing to refill my prescription.

If you’re thinking about it, don’t. Just don’t.

The Dr. Is very RUDE! Staff is does not seem very experienced. I always see interns which takes twice as long for everything! After waiting over an hour the Dr. Has the audacity to be rude and rushed with me. Very annoyed when I asked questions. Didn't seem interested at all in my symptoms or actually treating me. Her response was find a specialist. When asked if she xan refer me she told me to call my insurance. She kept trying to leave the room without actually hearing me. I will never go back to a Dr. Who tries to make me feel like an idiot for asking questions about my health after waiting weeks for an appointment. Also the bathroom was poorly kept. Non medical grade cleaning supplies from the dollar store. I was appalled. Shouldn't there be regulations about this? Also no toilet seat covers are provided either. Not to mention everytime I have went to this Dr they are me take a covid test that they charge the insurance for even tho I don't need it and I am not symptomatic. They only care about the $$$$ not you or your health. CHOOSE ANOTHER DOCTOR

Just like any Doctor only thing is you might be there a while. Great staff and always willing to fit you in.

Very stupid service they do not have time to fax over the medications to the pharmacy. I’ve contacted them consecutively for four days still have not gotten my prescribes medications at my pharmacy. Really disappointed with this doctor please go to another my fellow patients.

The doctors office staff are terrible.they place you in a room and you have to wait almost an hour just to get your results read to you … very unprofessional some of the staff are ok and the rest are rude and they don’t care that they are rude to you … Dr. Singh needs to clean house and hire all new staff because this ain’t working.

Very very lazy staff only bezy on talking each other no care about patients and every time delay an appointment today my appointment time 3: 45om but I am waiting still 4: 55pm at last I asked him shall I go

I recommend Singh Family Medical Clinic. Dr.is always available to listen to every health concern and her empathy and professionalism is what makes me recommend her.

Simbella Singh the only nurse practitioner here is very inconsiderate and lacks normal human empathy let alone the kind you expect from a health care giver. My mom had asked a simple question about the dosage of her cholestrol medication that she thought might have been a little too strong for her and NP Simbella Singh proceeded to seem annoyed, angrily snapping back at my mom for not knowing that 30mg is the lowest dosage you can get for that medication. Like ok, how are we supposed to know, you are the doctor thats why we are here, you know what I mean.would not reccomend, their reviews speak for themselves

The nurse practitioner SIMBELLA SINGH is shockingly rude and passive agressive. She kept tryna make my mom feel bad for not being able to go to her lab work appointment and would bark at her and tell her we don’t know what we’re talking about when we would ask any questions. After we left the room she tried playing the victim card in front of her staff who all clearly see through her b.s but don’t say anything cuz they are afraid of losing their jobs. I can honestly say I have never had a worse experience EVER.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I used to work here and if you are looking for a job or are a student MA looking to finish your hours. RUN! This office is horribly ran by Manjit who takes on students and throws them and leaves them to do everything with little to no training at all which is why most of you can never get an appt bc the people at the phones have no idea what they are doing bc they do not train you and if they do it's very quick which is not good enough for all the ridiculous amount of phone calls they get and that is what happened to me! His wife Dr. Singh is a sad excuse of a human being and has no empathy as a boss and as a doctor. I had helped translate for Spanish speaking patients and she'd ignore every issue they'd speak to her about and would tell them to take the vitamins she sells that are ridiculous and over priced, when they wanted to actually be listened to and would speak up she deemed them as non complaint. She also refused to see patients on medications that are for mental health illness' bc she states they are ''crazy people'', she'd even yell at her employee's in front of patients and other workers. If you are looking for a new primary doctor I suggest looking else where, there are plenty of amazing drs here in Bakersfield that will give you better care!: ^) Don't be fooled either most of these good reviews are either her family members/friends or are written by Manjit himself LOL. Not sure if Bella NP is still there but she was the only nice one!

Why do they put me on hold for 15 mins then hang up on me. I’ve called back 5 times already and they don’t answer. It just rings and rings. That’s so messed up I hate this place.

I use to see doctor Singh now it's her assistant for the past 2 years and she doesn't really help I use to rate there office a 5 but cuz of her it's a 2

I am not the type of person to write reviews however since this office just horrible I am compelled to do so. Hopefully it can save someone time and money. This office so unprofessional, from the office staff to the doctor. The doctor herself lacks empathy, never greets you, just stares at her computer, always looks grumpy as if she does not want to be there. Overall just negative vibe. They are always overbooked, staff is clueless. I have found another office down the street and the new doctor is amazing!

This place really is horrible I scheduled an appointment but on the day of they have no records of my appointment and had me waiting for 30 mins to tell me they can’t see me what a joke I hope this place closes because they are no help to the community

My husband had a VA appointment for C&P and as his caregiver u went with him. The first thing that struck me as odd was all of the lights were off. Why are they working in the dark? She intentionally double talked and said things out of order to confuse my husband. It sounded like someone with dislexsia reading out loud. She even confused me and I had to repeat her question back to her to make sure we heard her correctly. When he got the award letter denying his claim we found out that she had lied completely to destroy his chances. She claimed in her findings that he didn't need/ want the claim anymore, applied for it by mistake after learning about the possible money and would like to be denied. That was obviously a lie or he would not have attended the appointment. My husband is considering legal action.

I will never go back to this clinic. I’d give 0 stars if I could that’s how frustrating it is to deal with them.
