SkidRow Community Refresh Spot reviews
19A great place to get a shower in skid row. Fast processing, polite staff, cell phone charging, complementary soap towel and washcloth (for use there). No complaints. It's a small space, just appropriately I wore skinny jeans tight around the ankles and did a lot of hopping around on one foot trying not to get the other pants leg wet. Sweat pants or gym shorts/ bike shorts/ ok any shorts and sandals not socks would be a lot smarter. Hah. The options available in the skid row area it's definitely the fastest in and out. No hassles.recommended.
Great alternative to dirty clothing if you really need to wash but you Gotta be careful. I was homeless washing named brand gear that peice at a time started to disappear so I personally don't use this facility for laundry services myself anymore. Crazy thing too they made it seem as though I was accusing someone of stealing my things that didn't need it when I addressed it. "Like no people I was only stating that I was missing things Just be careful washing flashy clothing here
One winning ticket was sold in Los Angeles for Wednesday night's estimated $1.08 billion Powerball jackpot, lottery officials said. The mystery winner hadn't stepped forward to cash in the ticket and has a year to claim the massive windfall, officials said Thursday morning.
"They have to claim their prize, and then we have to spend time vetting the winner to make sure it is the right person, " California Lottery spokesperson Carolyn Becker said during a news conference. "Integrity and transparency are incredibly important to us, so we will probably not know for months and months. "
The winning numbers were 7,10,11,13 and 24, with a Powerball of 24.
This place really comes in handy, but a few of the staff members are very corrupt, the Older black Man at the front desk always puts the showers on hold for hours so he can just sit there and scroll through his phone. He makes you feel like your an inconvenience and is very, very sassy. I really hope they replace the crooked staff members with honest ones that love to do their job with a smile.
Thank GOD for this place, I just went there today first time to shower and the staff were extremely friendly and understanding. The lady over the showers at the time was the sweetest most joyful person ever, with such a beautiful smile I love this place.
Workers are very rude. I know of quite a few people that stoped going there because the workers were very rude to them
In love with the staff working here, & they make sure the bathroom, shower, and ETC are always clean. They provide all services for homeless i love this place by far the best place I've gone for showers and chargers us donation clothes and other items available sometimes and also last but not least the music they play is so uplifting. Thank yall for taking care of us homeless people struggling to get on our feet you guys are beyond a blessing at the refresh spot

Having volunteered at Skidrow has humbled me beyond my imagination. I have met some incredible individuals that would give you the shirt off their back without question. When I saw what the refresh center provides for the people I was blown away by the services they provide from clean restrooms, showers with clean towels, hygienic amenities, charging ports, and resources. This location is a blessing and is kept in outstanding shape. The staff really takes pride in what they do and for that I commend you guys
This place is clutch in my daily / weekly life schedule. There's so many benefits they offer to help the community. From showers to getting IDs to giving out free water when it's hot out and even close if you need it. Most importantly though 24 hr access bathrooms and free laundry!
This place is extremely needed I appreciate the workers and all the time that they put in to assist with the homeless situation in downtown LA
An excellent place to shower, use the bathroom, use the laundry and charge your phone
The cleanliness of the facility is a top priority.
However being a handicap person I was denied the ADA shower on 3 different moments specially on the night shift
On my defence I don't have any toes so my balance is compromise even though I can still stand and walk I need handle bars in the shower
The lack of education and training in some of the staff is a priority
The second point is the laundry has lost my belongings on 3 different occasions 1
the last time on the 16th of this month
Lastly is very sad when you have a general manager yelling in front of their staff and clients that he is racist very raciest
I hope something can be done
Is bad enough and raciest enough that we don't need some body from a nonprofit organization that is supposed to have a different take on the matter
Thanks for the great friends fr the staff I was able make
I've been going over their for a few months and always have been treated with dignity
Very clean 24 hour restrooms, and you can do your laundry and take a shower from 6am-6pm, I believe. Laundry is washed by staff and you pick it up 2 hours after dropoff. Yes, as others have stated, staff can be pretty rude, but the majority are very chill. Very grateful to have this place making homelessness bearable in LA.
Although they provide free showers, bathroom use, and laundry service to people. The staff can discriminate over certain people. You get a different experience from the morning staff than from the night staff. Most of the staff overall don't know how to handle the homeless without aggression. Long term use of the refresh spot will become a toxic environment.
The staff is way out of control.they treat customers like real bad and cuz a lot and say racist gestures.the worst professional NOT EMPLOYEES I HAVE EVER SEEN
Most of the staff talk to you in a nasty unprofessional way keep it real it's the Black workers get rid of them
