Skill Craft Body Shop, Huntington Beach CA

Myself, my friends, family and neighbors have been coming here for a long time. I had some damage to the underside of my car so I called them. Spoke to Andy. He told me that he thought that I just wanted to get the car fixed and would unlikely want to get it repaired correctly, i.e. Pay for a lot of extra things that it may need. I told him I was a longtime customer and had no problem getting it fixed correctly. He told me to go somewhere else. My friends are telling me I should have asked for someone specific like Jeff or dropped [my friends name]. I never had to ask for someone or drop a name to get great service before. I'm very disappointed.

Had some bodywork and paint done here but then the paint started cracking a few years later. I came in to have some insurance work done but Mark never called me back and then said they dont work with ALLSTATE but my agent said that Mark was lying and they would have paid handsomely for any repair jobs. I was told not to come here again by my insurance agent. I then asked for an Out-of-Pocket estimate but never received anything. Mark made me wait 40+ days before I could bring my truck in for a warranty job. Other bodyshops wouldn't work on my vehicle because of the horrible work SkillCraft previously did and even after I brought it in SkillCraft didnt even warranty the bumper and bumper end caps that they had previously worked on. I told Greg the owner how poorly I was treated and he didn't care to hear what I had to say. If you're Hispanic DON'T come Here! These guys are RACIST! If you want a quick paint job that will last a few years and aren't Hispanic than you should come here!

This body shop has not yet begun work on my vehicle. So far they have provided an estimate of the cost of repair. The parts have been ordered & repairs will then begin.

AAA referred me and the body damage was satisfactory. They explained that the passenger door lock was now defective.
I told them that on delivery the door opened without issue as I used it to remove my property.
Despite my explanation they claimed that their examination of the lock was fine and the fact that it no longer worked was a mere coincidence. They absolutely refused to accept any responsibility. They felt it was an internal issue and opined that it was and electrical problems possibly costing around $750.
I had a repair shop readjust the lock for $45.
Clearly an issue with the body shop. AAA reimbursed me for the $45.
Skill Craft was at fault and refused to. Accept responsibility. Their dishonesty and lack of “skill” was remarkable. I would not recommend this company under any circumstance.

Both of my experiences with Skillcraft have been very easy and smooth. The good people at Skillcraft took care of my paperwork and my car in a timely manner so could focus on other things in my life. They're trustworthy and all around friendly people. Definitely recommend.
