Skip's Fish & Chicken, Sacramento CA

It took a while for our food to come out, but that was my only issue. The food tasted amazing, and I highly recommend one of the loaded fries options. We were both impressed by the incredible taste.

I've only eaten here twice, but the food was delicious and generously portioned both times. It's a bit pricey, but everything is nowadays. I got 2 orders of the Wednesday wing special and paid $32.00. I have yet to try the fish. Otherwise, I definitely recommend.

The Fish & Greens are my favorite but tonight when my husband got home with our food. My Greens were over salted or something and I am very unhappy
When this happens, it makes me not want to come back.

The food was fresh and hot upon pick-up order. Online platform for pickup orders were quick and easy to use. It was better than going in as it usually takes 20 to 30 minutes if you go in.

The cost was okay, but what was disappointing was how they literally cut one filet to make 2 pieces. The fish was overly salted, and because of the sal, we couldn't enjoy the lemon pepper dust. In addition, for a pick 4 combo, only one sauce was provided. The chicken tenders' breading was not on a couple of the pieces, which was disappointing as it was usually really good. Shrimp was salty, too, but cooked well.

The fried pickles ordered were super salted and gross because all they tasted like straight salt. All in all, we were unable to finish the food because it was too salty.

Maybe next time, I will request no additional salt added after fry.

The prices are way too high. The fries are literally the ones from winco and the chicken on the $20 chicken sandwich is paper thin.

The food was to salty, no flavor. Are they under new management? The food use to be better.

Oh my, oh my goodness. You know I totally understand what it’s like to be tired at work and just wanting the day to end so you can clock out and go home. And I can say that I’m guilty of closing up a few minutes early because there were no customers on a few occasions but NEVER would I blatantly close up a half hour early with customers coming to the door. Yes folks I showed up to this establishment with 40 minutes to go before they close and this woman asked me what was I plan on ordering? Was it a large order or a small order before she even gave me an opportunity to respond she said we’re closed. Despite the time, despite the signs on the door and open sign flashing open, she blatantly told me to get out and didn’t want my money. I don’t know if there is a Skip or if there’s some other owner that knows who they have hired and is aware of what this woman is doing She needs to be fired. She was rude and robbed me the opportunity to try Skip famous chicken and fish!

This south Sacramento restaurant does a little better than the one in Elk Grove, but it appears the prices keep rising here too. The quantity of food is simply not a value.

Shrimp and catfish were good, if needing a bit more seasoning. Chicken was good/okay. Service was good.

Please serve more food for your prices or lower the price.

The store did have a weird smell, but I gave them benefit of the doubt. But the fish, shrimp n oysters all have the same weird smell n taste. Also too pricey for this food

Very filling Fish Po'Boy. The fish was not dry and the bread was toasted just right. Totally worth the price.

The food was very hot that's a big plus, it was good & fresh just how I like. I come all the way from Natomas area cause right here on florin got it going on.

My Snapper was very dried out through and through. Received NO dipping sauces that we ordered.

Omg they messed up my chicken so bad i was ready to cry. I hate returning food but it was too expensive to let go so I took it back and fixed it right.

OMG! This place is great! In my opinion the chicken wings were hot and fresh the fish off the hook! Fried Okra awesome! Me and my wife will definitely be back.

I thought I was getting a beer batter type of fried fish, the seasoning was to salty even on the fries, coleslaw was tasteless, it’s honestly too overpriced for the amount they give you, could of gone to restaurant for better quality and service

Honestly it was ok. The price for the size is to much enjoyed the pecan pie more then the fish and chicken tenders. Wanted to change my order after receiving what we hope was a bigger meal and one of the employees was unwilling standing by the owner policy which was unreasonable until he acknowledge my treatment should be better hope to not return at (Skip’s)
