I've been coming here for over 5 years. I've never been disappointed. Hands down my favorite burger in Sacramento County

This place is the Bee’s knees! Food is consistent and delicious. I have never had a bad meal here. My go-to is the Asian salad with steak and the Skip’s original burger. Also the beer is always crisp, cold and compliments well with the meal. If the food isn’t enough, the staff is the absolute cherry on top of this perfect sundae of an establishment. Will be back for more!

Delicious food (had the steak sandwich & Western burger), wonderful criss-cut fries with the perfect amount of crunch, and PHENOMENAL service. Available for dine in (indoor dining room & outdoor area) or take out. They use a deck of cards as table numbers - pull the joker & your meal is on Skip!

First thing they asked me when I ordered my burger was "How do you want it cooked? " It's like that! Great, family-owned local restaurant with a calm atmosphere, fresh food, and stellar customer service. I'll be back!

Probably the 4th or 5th visit. Every time a different burger. Every time left wanting to show friends this great burger spot

Omigosh, what a delightful surprise! Rode by on our bikes yesterday and came for lunch today.the Beef Wellington sliders were over the top! Both soups we had were excellent as well, with the added touch of perfectly paired toppings. Service and attention by owner was also impeccable. This is a gem and in our "hood" so double YAY!

A little secret you can get your meal free if you manage to pull the Joker out of the deck of cards. If not, you still win with one of the tastiest burgers in town. Also you can dine in and enjoy your burger fresh with a brew or soft drink. Atmosphere, solid A+, food A, money's worth A+ you have my honest opinion.

Great restaurant. Wish it was a bit bigger:) Hamburgers and salads are always tasty and the milk shakes are worth the trip!

Excellent food, service and ambiance. Skip's kitchen is a true gem and Skip himself even moreso.

Their food is delicious! Tonight we ordered the BOM Sliders with criss cut fries and a chocolate milk shake. Burgers are juicy and perfectly cooked. Milk shake was thick but not so thick it doesn't go thru a straw. Super tasty. I have had the bacon & cheddar burger too. Again perfectly cooked and just the right amount of bacon.

They are closed on Sundays and it is an order at the counter type of place. They do get pretty busy and the small dining room fills up. I would suggest calling ahead for a take out order. All in all the food comes out pretty quick and is fantastic.

Got damn good its amazing got a burger medium well. I don’t like pickles but man will I tell yah I did not even notice they were on the burger kudos to the cook try this place out.

Excellent menu. The sliders, chicken pesto, and burger were amazing. The owner and his staff were very friendly and checked in from time to time. We will be back soon.

Love it when I come in and see the owner working the front and talking with customers. Skip is a cool guy and that is why the place is busy and has good reviews, the food was good as well. Don't need fancy decor, just good service and good food. Had the basic burger and it was pretty good at a reasonable price. Will be returning, hopefully next time I get the joker.

Skip's Kitchen is a great place to bring a small group, and the menu is just diverse enough to really satisfy most. The food comes out fairly quickly but does not look, nor taste, like it was rushed. It's not overpriced, and you get a lot for what you pay. I highly recommend this place!

I had the mushroom Swiss burger and my wife had the bacon cheddar. They were really really good. It was fun picking your card from the spread of cards at the register to see if you draw the joker and get your meal for free.

Love this family owned local gem! If you are wondering if the joker is really in there. It is! Our family has gotten it three times. The kids get so excited to draw the card every time, even if they don't win. The strawberry shake uses real berries. The chicken pesto chipotle sandwich is addictive.

Best burger in town.
