Skirball Cultural Center reviews
42I was only in one area for a conference but was happy to finally get to check this place out. The parking was free and plentiful and the area we had our conference in was spacious and pretty. They catering on the other hand was pretty meh but I don't know if that was due to the location or due to what the conference chose.
Our school Angeles Workshop School takes a field trip every week, and our experience at the Fowler was both profound and enriching.
This museum is truly contemporary in all sense with interactive, cool and abstract exhibits that are very memorable. The general admission has access to the third floor which has displays from paintings to eye catching exhibits including balloon dog sculpture.
In my first time visiting the museum I was amazed at how wonderful it is, an excellent place to hang out.
I have been only here once and it was an awesome experience. The mirrored room has a really good reverb sound (LOL what). Im an audio person so i tried to do an impulse response when I was there and the reverb in that room was sooooo good.
I loved this place! It's beautiful with different exhibits and a lovely lily pond. They have wheelchairs if you need one. Very friendly staff. They do not have handicapped accessability in all bathrooms.the halls are very narrow for a wheel chair. The bathroom situation should be addressed but wouldn't keep me from visiting again.
Skirball Cultural Center is a very small museum. The RBG exhibit is exceptional but there are not a great deal of exhibits. The staff is exceptional and have a great disposition. Great location and very good parking. This is definitely worth the annual membership.
My son loves climbing the Ark and digging for artifacts as an Archeologist. I enjoy the museum about Jewish history and culture. Parking is free which is a plus!
It rained a lot the first two days that we were in Los Angeles and a lot of things to do are mainly outdoors however we did find some very enjoyable things to do indoors too. We found this beautifully built Noahs Ark @skirball_la. Many of the animals are built using recycled materials like old whisks, keys, pots, gloves, shoes, bags etc and Hazel honestly had a blast! There's books to read, animals to touch and play with, instruments, handles to turn, sensory sounds, climbing ropes, bridges and lots of running space. Also every Thursday is free at this centre for everybody
I was there last week
Thanks for a great party guys especially one waitress her name is Paty and Helena you're the best and the service was " Excellent"
Great exhibits. We were there for the Jim Henson and Houdini exhibits. Fabulous. Noah’s Ark is a must for the kids.
This place is terrific, especially for the little ones. The Noah's Ark Exhibit is a must see. Your kids will spend all day here.
The interactive Noah's Arc exhibit is good for kids as young as 20 months, we learrned today. And our son got in free with his military ID. A good time was had by all.
Great museum, somewhat overpriced and also often crowded on weekends. It has many special exhibits and performances. Note that the best option is to park in the overflow lot across the street (parking is free) due to the structure on the museum side often filling up, with no external sign warning of the full parking structure.
Across the board, a gem for all ages. They also have a wonderful gift shop, with lots of RBG tribute mdse!
While we were in Los Angeles, we visited the Jim Henson exhibit, which was amazing, and stayed to walk through the Skirball's displays and exhibits on Jewish culture and history. Very interesting place!
Very nice museum to visit with man exciting exhibits. The Noah's ark is a great place for children to play.
Small size museum and cultural center with everything you need in such a place including a little garden. Loved the Noah's Arch which is a little haven for little kids. Parking is free.
Great space, nice retreat. Great location for hosting events and workshops. Also there is a museum here.
They had an awesome Jim Henson's Muppets exhibit, and we got into the center for free, so that's hard to beat. Check the days, and you can get the same deal. Well-run establishment with some great exhibits. I recommend it if you have the time. There's so much to do in LA, but this is worth the stop.
