Definitely recommend! The team was great! The pilot was very knowledgeable and experienced and clearly enjoys flying the balloon. His wife was a great photographer and took such fun pictures of us all! I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was a hit!
At the end they served champagne. We don’t drink alcohol, but they even had sparkling cider for us. Great place to go for a fun and “different” sort of experience.

Tim and Erin visited our school, sharing their expertise in a way that inspired our students, not only in aviation, but as role models giving back to the community. Their kindness and patience paired with their contagious passion for flying hot air balloons made it an outstanding event for all! We’re so grateful!

What an amazing experience!

I booked a flight for me and my beautiful wife who always loves doing things more on the “extreme” side and has never had a fear of heights. Since my wife has had this on her list of things she’s always wanted to do, I figured I would step out of my comfort zone and surprise her with a flight she probably thought she’d never be taking with me. I’ve got to say, for someone who has had an extreme fear of heights, I would do it all over - again and again!

The Sky Drifters crew went above and beyond to make our time with them was one of the most safe, memorable, exciting, and comfortable experiences.

The minute we arrived, we were cheerfully greeted by Erin (Tim - the Pilot’s wife), she took the time to explain the entire process with us and volunteered to act as our personal photographer the entire trip!

Tim is an awesome pilot, who’s very knowledgeable, professional yet funny, and will treat you like family from the minute you arrive. From beginning-to-end he made every effort to ensure that we would get the most out of our time with them.

I couldn’t have been happier with the entire experience! We will definitely be going back and flying with them in the future. Hats off to the ground crew, who were fast, professional, and efficient. Overall, you can’t go wrong with choosing Sky Drifters! Don’t let your fear of heights get in the way of you missing out on such an amazingly unique experience!

When does one book such an expensive ride? I'd assume it's when you have a special occasion and are finding a way to celebrate! If that's you, refrain from booking it with this company.
The owner, Tim is extremely rude and takes no responsibility for his actions. We ended up losing half a grand because of uncertainties related to Tim's way of conducting business and the lack of effective communication about such uncertainties, when they occur.
He is rude, inconsiderate and treats you like HE's doing YOU a favor by taking you for a ride.

There are other options. PLEASE PLEASE don't go for this company.

Great time, this is a must do! This was a great personalized tour with quite a few surprises I was not expecting. Highly recommended, I got this as a gift for my wife and she loved it.

We had a great time with Tim (pilot), and his wife Erin. Tim is a competent and interesting pilot, and Erin went out of her way to make us feel special. The green rolling hills and lake made for beautiful scenery as we floated about the area. Definitely a “must do” for a vacation or special occasion.

The company is very pleasant. Staff was amazing. Great views great people. Highly recommend to anyone. My wife and I traveled 4 hours just for the experience.

Tim and Erin are absolutely amazing! Flying with them was so incredible and magical. I actually enjoyed it so much that I have come back to fly with them three times now. It is an amazing experience, and Skydrifters is definitely the company to choose if this is something you are looking to do.

We had a wonderful time on a SkyDrifters hot air balloon ride on a beautiful Wednesday morning. My friend and I were joined by a man from Sonora and a couple from Stockton. Pilot, Tim, and his wife, Erin, were also in the basket. Erin took pictures and downloaded them to us and we took lots of photos ourselves as well. We landed in a “new” construction neighborhood just north of Grant Line Road, slightly within Mather Air Field air space (?). Pilot, Tim, had to communicate with them on the radio. It was clear that he is a safe and experienced pilot and I would recommend his company to others who are looking for this sort of experience.

After months of planning a surprise proposal flight on my end, owner and Pilot Tim was helpful in every step of the way. Tim and his assistant did not disappoint. The experience was something that I am so glad I decided to do for us. The take off was so smooth, truly the floating in air feeling. I was fumbling with my phone so I can record the take off and before I knew it we were about 20ft off the ground and didn’t even feel it. The morning was about 34 degrees in the middle of November at 6am but being in the basket was a very comfortable warm temperature even at 800ft off the ground. Tim knew exactly when was going to be the right time to give me a sign to get ready and purpose to my fiancé. Which they were brilliant with coming up with the group “cancellation” in front of my fiancé to throw her off of the proposal flight and make it seem like we will get an upgraded personal flight. She never saw it coming which made it that more special. The Landing is a little rough but nothing you can’t handle. Tim’s experience with his extensive background of paragliding and so many other airborne sports make him a true professional of his craft. Hands down I would not look any where else. Experience, Communication and attention to detail is everything in a special moment such as ours. It is absolutely beautiful and so relaxing to be in the air in the basket and something you must try. Something about purposing to my fiancé in a hot air balloon and the talks afterwards with friends and family I must say is very expressive in people’s eye. No regrets and just do it!
