5There are three separate parking areas that are accessible through this one entrance. There is even a separate handicap a lot here. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because one of the parking lots didn't have a restroom.
Great parking spot along Skyline Ridge. Plenty of parking with a huge overflow area if the main lot is full. Gives you access to anything from a short stroll around Horseshoe Lake, to longer hikes along the ridge that have amazing views over the redwoods towards the distant Pacific Ocean.
All of the hiking trails along the 35 are absolutely stunning and I would recommend. Skyline absolutely does not fall short of that and is one of my favorite places to go.
Nice park, good access to waking and biking trails, mostly open however some shade.
Pleasant loop around the lake at lake level then up above.
I was here on May/5/2020.
I hiked more than 6 miles,
I hiked a bigger loop, it was 8 miles.
I hiked up and down 3 different hills.it’s not too difficult.
It was a little hot since it is not much shade.
The trail gave me Flowers, lakes, rocks, trees, deers, and turkeys!
Beautiful poppy flowers.
Mother Nature using the color box, orange, yellow, purple, white, green,
She paints those hills, she lets the wind flowing around them, made them so spectacular hills,
Those hills were attached my eyes and heart with happiness and joy.
I love this trail a lot, I will come back to this trail again.
