17 This is the one to go to for all your skate needs.
I got some long board Wheels and they have knee pads for s good price
Came here about a month ago with my parents from LA to get a setup built, the dude built it for me and he was very kind and helpful. My next setup will be from here.
Great shop, recommended by a friend of mine that still skates San Diego. Cool layout for a shop, small but stocked with all you will need to build a sweet complete.
Thanks for helping my sister get her first real complete board.
Just got my son a new board. GERARDO who helped build is awesome! Very helpful and informative, sharp young man! 100% recommended, thanks little "G"!
Dope place staff was super helpful took my daughter to buy her first complete board and she got hooked up definitely coming back
Best skate shop in SD. Awesome customer service. Brendan was very helpful and an all around good dude. He helped us pick out a few decks and he gripped them perfectly. We'll be back.
Dope little spot to get all of your skate needs! They have all top quality products! Even your freshest drip! Shoes, shirts, decks, you name it! It's all here. This little gem is right off of 17th street inside of the Tribal gear shop. Bring your kids, make the visit, this is your 1 stop shop with the finest gear from the heart of San Diego!
Sick old skool shop decided to pick up a complete after 15 years since my kids are really getting into it.place has nice selection on top end decks and everything els in-between dude helped me out made it super easy
Everyone there was really friendly and supportive, I got a chance to ask a lot of questions on the parts I was picking out, very informal. This is my new go to spot.
Pretty smooth purchase, guy showed me what i asked and let me choose every part of the board, then let me use the work space to put it together. Pretty solid place
I am just shocked about the prices they are amazing normaly the prize for a griptape is 20 or 19 dollars but at slappys they are 5 or 6 dollars each
Slappy's was my third skate shop visit in San Diego after visiting a couple in the PB area. I had the best experience here as far as customer service goes, and the deck selection was by far superior. I let them know I was a beginner looking for my first board, and they patiently walked me through everything without being condescending or pushy towards buying anything. That's rare to find nowadays. They also let me watch as they assembled the board (no extra cost) and talked me through it which was a really cool learning experience. If you're looking to support your local shop look no further than Slappy's.
Definitely my new go to skate shop! The guy at the place was super helpful and welcoming. Also very helpful that he was bilingual.
Came here on a rainy day for my 10yr old son. The employees were very kind and helpful and put together his board from scratch. Great customer service:)
Slappy's Garage is super cool. My bf swears by them & will only buy his skateboards & board accessories from Slappy's. He purchases at least 1 new complete board every month. (ever think of doing punch cards? Ex: buy 9 get 10th free or at least a % off). But anyways, Thx again for helping keep him happy, Slappy.
Awesome shop! All staff are super friendly, and knowledgeable about the stock and any questions you may have. They will have everything you need to buy and make your own board, or you could just buy a complete!
A great selection of various great brands like santa Cruz, creature, and more! Local brands also present!
