Slater’s 50/50 reviews
16This was our first visit to the area. We decided to give this restaurant a try. We were kindof in a hurry and just wanted a quick bite. The food was good. Our order was the chicken sandwich, burger and the fried chicken Cobb salad. Our meals were good and service was food. I do have to say that were were in there for about an hour. We knew our order rather quickly but our food took a bit to long to come out. Restaurant decor is really nice tons of live plants. However, if you sit outside it is extremely noisy due to the airport nearby. Even if you sit inside, which we did, it it really loud. Overall prices are fair and our food was good.
Lunch was good, but server not very attentive. Great place for brews in evening, but not for quiet lunch. Would definitely return for the food.
Slater's 50/50 is a place I really wanted to eat at since some of my coworkers ate at the one up around Orange County California. Sadly I was disappointed with my coworkers that were with me. The atmosphere was very noisy due to a trivia night to get 30% off your ticket which made it hard to talk. The serving size of onion rings was sad but at least tasted good for the non burnt ones. The Original 50/50 burger was not well flavored even with the egg and barbecue sauce. I have had better burgers elsewhere and they did not taste like 50% bacon was used with the beef. Quality is low for the price and not a place I would recommend as there are better options in the area. A generous 3 star as the food and everything just ended up being OK.
The food was good. I had the 5050 original not as juicy as i thought itd be but still good. Had seeet potato fries that came with a pumkin sauce, tasted just like pumkin pie. Solid place, I recommend, just know airplanes fly over the area and is loud.
If you love bacon then this is your spot. Bacon burger, bacon ketchup, bacon Brussel sprouts, bacon mac n cheese, bacon chili, and get out of here BACON Milkshake! What an experience. Exactly what I want from vacation food! Beer is still beer, but I'm sure you could add bacon.
First time there and it was a nice place. Food was good and our server was pretty attentive. Would definitely recommend.
Great little spot with very tasty food. Our server Maria was attentive and overall awesome. Give this place a visit!
Do not recommend. Food was nasty and tasted like plastic, found not 1 piece of hair, but 3 throughout our table…. Waited over an hour for a burger when the restaurant was empty. After 7 of us had our food, they begin to tell us they never cooked the 8th persons meal so they didn’t even get to eat FORTUNATELY. They didn’t have half the ingredients for the drinks on their happy hour list. Waitress gave herself a tip and then continued to charge us another tip on top of that, she wouldn’t even let us see the screen to see she charged us a 20% tip until we got our receipts after. Worst 50/50 I’ve ever been too, the ones back home are so much better so i recommend the restaurant but definitely not this specific one. Waitress was fried, terrible experience.
SAUNA ALERT! This place is ridiculously hot, especially in the middle of the summer and there’s absolutely no AC. My server told me that their AC has been broke for years, seems like management doesn’t care. They will whenever someone has a heat stroke and they get sued. Seriously if you enjoy a bunch of sweaty servers handling your food while attempting to eat in 100% humidity, this is the place for you. Can’t even get a table outside because nobody wants to sit inside. If hell had a burger spot it’d probably be cooler than this place. Also there’s no Wi-Fi or cell service, so make sure to contact all of your loved ones before you enter this death trap.
If you're looking for a great tasting hamburger and an amazing milkshake, this is the place to go! Our new favorite place to go. I'd recommend the strawberry cheesecake shake, it was the best ever had!
Get the 50/50 alarm. It’s not that spicy (the spicy Paloma is even spicier) but my god is it delicious! (As is the spicy Paloma)
Great service, even though they were a bit short staffed. Food was delicious and the server was consistently checking how things were going.
I got the hibrow burger and vampire dip, absolutely loved it. Beer selection was great too.
The food was absolutely delicious! The burgers are half bacon and half beef so they may look a little raw, but they actually are perfected cooked and delectable. Everything is amazing, except my one draw back is that there is very little air conditioning in the restaurant, and therefore it gets extremely hot, extremely fast. Great place though. 9/10.
Slater's 50/50 is a very good burger restaurant with a sports bar.
This is one of the best burgers in the world. The ingredients are fresh and the meat tastes fantastic. Especially the 50/50 patties are recommended.
There is also a huge beer menu with beer on tap. The staff is friendly and the value for money is very good.
An absolute must for burger and beer lovers!
WOW! This place is amazing! A must is the vampire dip, YUM! Honestly I could bathe in it, you literally don't need anything else it's so good.
This place used to be good. The decor used to be solid and the food was amazing. Not anymore, since expanding and COVID, they got rid of all their nice tables and stopped serving things in plates. Now, you get your awful food in a basket. Let’s talk about food, I used to be an extremely regular customer but last night was the last straw. My wife and I got our usual, maple bacon bourbon wings which used to be amazing. We were served old wings that we believe were made previously and just refried. The lack of sauce and flavor made that absolutely clear? Don’t believe me? Well, we both got food poisoning last night after our meal. Don’t go, find a new place. This place has turned to absolute garbage. Bad enough they had a beer fest with a ton of security around, the owner’s should end their misery…sell it. Move along.
