This place is amazing! Every dish we had was so good and the service was great! We were there celebrating a birthday and they were so kind to put a candle in the dessert and even sing a bit! The owner stopped by the table as well. Highly recommend!

Wow, I have never had a bad experience at this restauraunt. Tonight they topped themselves!
They serve amazing drinks. The bartenders always ask how they are. I was honest and told the bartender "it is great, for "ME" it is a little stong. Would you mind adding soda water"
He said "of course not"
He then went on to make the drink all over. Both drinks were amazing. The second drink was more to "my" taste.
That is the service that keeps me loyal and coming back. I am sorry I didnt catch his name. He grew up in redondo beach if that helps owners.

SLAY came highly recommended by a local friend. He did not lead us astray! I have NEVER written a restaurant review in my life but this experience warranted one. For starters, the atmosphere is lovely, the customer service was top notch…at every point of our evening. We felt listened to, every request was met and exceeded with a smile and we were attended to without being smothered.
We began with the amazing rolls perfectly baked to perfection. Then shared the Bleu Cheese wedge salad. My friend is not a fan of bleu cheese so they brought us a deconstructed salad and allowed us to prepared it to our preferences. So sweet! Adding my praise to other reviews about the scallops! Cannot say enough about how delicious these were. They practically melted in our mouths. We also split the panko crusted filet with broccolini. Another slam dunk! Our waiter, Jose surprised us with an awesome slice of lemon blueberry cheesecake since we were celebrating our joint birthdays. We will be craving this place for a long time. Hope to visit again soon. Got a chance to personally thank David Slay on our way out. What a great guy!

Very delicious food, nice and friendly staff, nice entertainment. Everything is a little pricey, though. We tried their panko crusted filet of sole, pork chop, fish stew, and their squash blossom. Their were are delicious. Definitely recommend trying this place at least once.

Out family’s favorite steakhouse. We’ve been a dozen times with every single person enjoying just about everything on the menu, we always start with crispy green. Service is fantastic and they read the room. We’ve had quick and relaxing meals. We love the ambiance it’s formal yet Southbay perfect happy medium

This restaurant is more intimate than I expected. Our server was very patient and friendly. I’m pregnant so I had to get the steak a little more cooked than I normally would like. They still made it very tender and juicy. Twice baked potato is delicious, creamy yet still got the potato texture. Seasonal veggies is broccolini which is one of my favorite. Very well-seasoned on everything. Dinning ambiance feels pretty casual, nice but not too formal.

I wanted to take a moment to share my incredible dining experience at your establishment in Manhattan Beach, California. My wife, son, daughter-in-law, and I visited your restaurant during our vacation from Florida, and we were absolutely impressed.

First and foremost, the food was exceptional. We ordered the ribeye, risotto, fettuccini, and lasagna, and every dish had a spectacular flavor. The quality of ingredients and the culinary expertise were evident in every bite. We truly savored the meal and couldn't have asked for better options.

Additionally, I would like to highlight the outstanding service we received from Sue (the best) and Freddy (the other best) they really care about us. Their attentiveness and hospitality made us feel welcome and ensured a delightful dining experience. We greatly appreciate their efforts.

Did not honor our reservation. Food was bland and underseasoned at best. Felt more like a tourist trap than a nice date. They got our order wrong. Do not reccomend

A life time cuisine experience that was absolutely wonderful. Couldn't find a single flaw to write about. Excellent service staff, great atmosphere. Hope to be back again.

First time dining here tonight and truly enjoyed the food and the ambience (once they turned down the music).
Slay is not inexpensive, but the meal quality and preparation seems worth the price.
Only negative is that service although attentive, was too aggressive in trying to clear out the plates.

Had a birthday dinner here last summer, it was just sensational. I could not fault everything we ordered (seriously) which was headlined with their outstanding cioppino and wine list. Generous applause go to the wait staff as well.

Fabulous cocktails, food and service. The ambiance is masculine and very elegant, will definitely go back again.

The best dining experience! Great fresh seafood and perfectly cooked steak. My husband and I drove 1 hour to get there and it was well worth the trip. Absolutely delicious and we will be back. Slay wine was TOP.

The best restaurant in all of Los Angeles, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, go and enjoy you will not be disappointed. Ask for David Slay, the owner, one of the most incredible host ever for any restaurant.

Short but good wines list and prices aren't ridiculous (normal for steakhouse). The food is good (love the crab cake, steak tartar and onion rings). Steaks are great and service is on point. Indoors is too loud and some 4-top tables are cramped, but I'll be back (again) in the future.
