Sleepy's Custom Firearm Repair, Citrus Heights CA

I made an appointment by calling on 8/17 for the following Friday at 10: 30am. Showed up this morning and was totally flaked on. Waste of time and money. I've used Sleepy's in the past multiple times with good results & would reccomend to others but wont anymore.

I'm used to dealing with Bruce, but it was someone else this go around. Wouldn't waste the time unless you confirm via calling 2-3 times the day of to make sure someone will be there. Not sure if this service is good as it used to be.

**Editing in regards to your response: Jerid, you told me you were at the gun shop picking up a part & wouldn't be back for an hour or so when I called you this morning. Not a family matter. First you flake, then you lie. I can't use you guys anymore.

True quality bench work! Other shops wouldn't touch putting sights on my XDM. I called Sleepy's and without hesitation they simply said, "Bring it in! " This is a family run business, professional and direct no nonsense. Support your local Shops!

Great service needed new sights for a 1911 I inherited wasn't sure of the cut. Brought it out to them. They took care of everything from start to finish definitely would use again

Had them do a pin and weld they said 2 days. I get a call the next day they were done. Very polite and fast. Will definitely use again.

Incredibly poor customer relations Promised to call and did not I had too phone them to get some idea of what was happening with my project. More of a part time guntinker and than gunsmith No mill no lathe in evidence Things that my former gunsmith had No on sight welder Took time to reveiw the owners responce which is largely untrue Much of what he said he did he did not do, I stand by my first comment that this shop has "Incredibly poor customer relations" and that they appear to be gun tinkers rather than gunsmiths

We have brought several of my father's severely neglected guns to be serviced n they have always done a wonderful job cleaning n fixing them so they could be used for ever we chose to use them for. The customer service is awesome, the turn around time always exceeds our expectations, and the quality of work is beyond reproach. We will always bring our guns to them, even though the commute is somewhat a pain, their customer service n quality of work makes up for it.

Got an AR upper worked on by them, finished same day with additional cost, couldn't be any more pleased. Very friendly environment.

Little past the time when I got ar worked on. Let me put it to you this way. They work so fast and do such an amazing job it’s shocking that they don’t charge more. They always are willing To answer questions and be supportive since going to them. Ive recommended them to entire family Of 12. Brother in laws and friends. Long live sleepy!

I must stop using your services due to your continued inability to satisfy my needs.
I have used your services three times and have not been satisfied with your performance once.
This past week was the straw that broke my confidence in your service.
I brought my carbine to you for loading ramp issues and front site realignment.
The ramp was polished but Absolutely No effort was used to correct the front site issue. I was informed the issue was a factory defect.
Now I am "No Smith" but after a rudimentary inspection after I had to ask you to remove the site, it was obvious the issue Was not a factory defect, it was an "Assembly" issue.easily corrected by a nonsmith. Take care.
