SLS Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Beverly Hills reviews
15The staff and accommodations are 5 star! I highly recommend this hotel for amenities, ideal location and customer service. Everything you need is in walking distance and the whole team takes excellent care of their guests. We will be coming back!
A nice place with Outstanding Service. Prices a bit high, but if you want Excellent Service in Every Department this is a Great place to stay. The food is delicious.
My experience was amazing, valet was prompt with service. Check in was very simple and Kaylee made a big part of the experience because she was very hospitable and helpful. She offered the requested room upgrade upon arrival, thanked me for Elite status. Even offered if I wanted to check out late, although I didn’t need it, it was awesome she offered one of the perks of Elite status with Bonvoy. Restaurant food was also amazing, rooftop views are nice and location is great.
We had a lovely weekend at the SLS Hotel. We upgraded our room to include the private terrace which added a nice outdoor feel. Our room was specious and clean and exceeded our expectations. The hotel location was perfect for what we were looking for and the staff was kind and helpful. Although we did not take advantage of the courtesy transportation it was a great option if we needed it. There are plenty of restaurants and venues within walking distance.
We enjoyed drinks poolside while we were waiting for our room to be ready, it was a great way to relax before checking in.
The overall atmosphere and modern style really made the hotel stand out from other places we’ve stayed before.
Made a reservation for one night ahead of a family member's surgery in an attempt to provide a calm and relaxing location. Attempted to call and make a change to the reservation and extend a day. Four separate telephone calls were not answered. Phone just rang and never connected until it timed out. Upon check in, reservation was not correct in spite of speaking with central reservations. Room was nice in size as a suite was reserved, but dated in décor. Room was clean and well appointed. Later went to leave the hotel and called for car that was at valet. Again the telephone was never answered. Went to the restaurant for breakfast the following day. Was seated and asked for water. Never got it; had to get up and get it myself. Finally asked for my order and eventually got some oatmeal and fruit delivered. Asked for a little bit of milk when the oatmeal delivered. It was never delivered. Certainly not Luxury Collection service. Decided to check out a day early due to the poor service and informed the hotel manager of the service level. No accommodation or adjustment was made though they did say no early departure charge would be made. Checked my credit card the following day and they did charge a $479 early departure charge. Called the hotel. This time the phone was answered. A first for me. Talked to the front desk staff. Put on hold. Talked to the front desk staff again. Put on hold again. Went through this cycle five times. Finally, 28 minutes later, talked to the hotel manager. Put on hold. Informed that the charge was legitimate. Cited, again, the manager I spoke to Thursday and the time I spoke to her and demanded that I speak to that person who made the original commitment. Put on hold again. Eventually came back on the phone and manager told me that credits would be posted to my account. Not Luxury Collection service. Not AAA four diamond service that they say they say they are known for. Not the service that a Marriott Lifetime Platinum Elite member should get. Or any member. Or any customer. I can assure you I will never return nor recommend the hotel to anyone. Go stay at the W Westwood. Went there for the second night following the surgery of my family member. A wonderful experience.
Not a luxury hotel - had a number of issues with my stay in September during a weeknight overnight stay.
Traveling for work and booked a king room - upon arrival was told “we are oversold and can only give you a double room”. Wouldn’t even reduce nightly rate and was told a king room is not guaranteed.
Active construction zone on my hall outside room - tarps, equipment, etc.
The room itself smelled musty, had multiple industrial extension cords throughout room and very dark.
Will not be staying again and not sure how they consider themselves a 5 star hotel.
Arrived late evening and what was available was comfortable. Food was good as to be expected. Very good stay.
Quiet hotel! Small swimming pool on their rooftop, where there is plenty to order, wide choice! Beautiful, neat and tidy rooms! Parking is full of chic cars!
Liked-Nice staff, good hospitality, great location
Disliked- Room mix up on check in, Room lay out and ambience not at all a 5 Star luxurious. Its more like a 3 star stuff. Rooms have no views at all and that's not what is expected of a 5 star luxurious hotel.
Very average food, ordered few dishes to the pool side and was a big disappointment for the most part.
Bottom line- You don't get what you pay for
Watch your bill and charges, greedy & unethical staff attempt to nickel and dime customers.
Make sure to have your AAA card with you at check in as they will triple check the rates and packages.
Make sure you have a watch and can tell time as your restaurant wait staff will attempt to say meal packages are expired when there is an hour left.
Really enjoyed my time staying at the SLS. The rooms are decently large and comfortable. Comfortable bed. Big bathrooms with plenty of towels. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Sat by the pool and it was relaxing and beautiful. Had lunch at the Nook and it was delicious. Didn’t have time to check out the speakeasy but that’s another experience within the hotel. It’s also centrally located which is nice!
Absolutely beautiful hotel and a perfect place to stay. The staff is excellent and the hotel is in top shape. Even with weddings or events happening the main lobby and the rooms stay quiet. The pool area is great and has an amazing view of the hills, and the area around the hotel is walkable and safe. Don’t think twice about booking here
Hotel is getting old. Valet Staff & reception were nice. Restaurant is terrible. The breakfast is bad bad. Overall not worth it.
If you're hosting a corporate event or a global company offsite, look no further. Mario Ghrayeb, the SLS Sales Manager, is outstanding to work with, goes above and beyond and can accommodate all of your needs proactively from hotel rooms, meeting space, dinners, event planning etc and work with you on a budget. Absolutely outstanding!
We regularly stay at 5 star hotels and I researched a lot before staying at the SLS. We as a family really liked our room. Spacious, clean and updated. We stayed in the one bedroom suite. The food was great and the service all around was terrific. Everyone from the front desk to servers and valet had that “can do” attitude. The pool was a little cold but still fun. The sea bass tasted awesome. To anyone who is looking for a great and relaxing luxury hotel, I would personally recommend this hotel!
