Smart & Final Extra!, El Cajon CA

The employees are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable regarding merchandise location. The store is clean, well stocked and organized.

My experience at this smart and final was amazing. The produce guy (I think his name was James) was very kind and helpful. Andrew (who was the cashier) was also very friendly to me and my kids and was super quick on my transaction which normally takes me a while with a full cart. A price for one of my items came up higher then what it was supposed to be and he did everything possible to make sure I got the right price! Shoutout to one of the manager Erin for helping him out as well. Will come back!

For most things you can buy in bulk and not have to go all the way to Costco. I think the thing that sets Smart & final apart is that they have a lot of non-bulk merchandise as well and fresher produce.

Love this place! Great selection and really fresh produce. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Easy to get in and out quickly. Has pretty much everything the other grocery stores have. The only issue I have is the aisles are too narrow for two carts to pass. All the displays in the way and people won't move for each other makes it difficult to shop.

Always one of my favorite stores that I seldom get to shop. Wish we had one in Lake Havasu City, AZ

Nice clean store. I was there Saturday noon time and good crowd. Not overly busy. Decent prices on both individual and bulk items.

Never a wait in line. Cheerful staff and great prices. Rotisserie chicken on sale for 2.99 some mornings! Can't beat the savings.

I haven't visited smart and final for over a year and went today because walmart was too busy. The store did not have all the items that other grocery stores have and I bought less but spent more. I was disappointed with their produce section and will have to go to another store to find the items that they did not have. On the positive side, the store was not crowded and customers are friendlier than at Wal-Mart. The employees were helpful as well.

Well stocked, great selection. Selection. Produce is fresh and reasonably priced. Everything else, it's a good value and good quality.

Bea or Beatrice, the most awesome clerk ever. She's doing a helluva job over there and she needs to be employee of the month or something. She's been consistently polite to my family and I. She's fast. I go to her line even if some goober ahead of me has 3 cart loads. Thank you!

Bulk price deals no longer exist. As you may have already known, standard public pricing and discounts are maintained in a fashion reminiscent of Walmart, and follow the same selling format as the major chain stores, a status of which the powers that be feel they must adopt to survive. Still, what other stores don't carry, they do. Yet they still lack that edge that made them special, buy big, save big! Serving mostly the small businesses with cost effective prices.
In conclusion, they aren't great, just ok.

While I was able to get the most beautiful bacon ends product is always good at Smart and Final I have to say my clerk was a jerk. She was not masked, I was and I am fully vaccinated. I had to say hello to her twice before she would acknowledge me she was very stiff with me verbally. Bad day?

Freshest meats, the butcher comes in in the morning and cut everything fresh excellent prices. Great selection of lunch snacks. Outstanding prices, wide selection of craft beers and wines.
