Smart & Final Extra! reviews
22 This store is never well stocked. Now during the last few months its worse.
They do a pretty good job in the produce department, its clean and full.
The meat department is not cared for as well as produce, but if you want beef in bulk packaging, you can find fair pricing, but not a large selection.
In order to shop without over spending in this store you need to realize most of their pet food, health and beauty products are over priced.
Overall, they are under staffed and it's difficult to find someone to help you.
Lastly, the have a poor checkout system and the lines are slow and long so no hurrying in and out.
Smart & Final had 2 items on sale which brought me into the store; fresh Blueberries 18oz pkg $2.87 and Ben & Jerry's ice cream $2.99 if you buy 3 containers. $70 later I found myself in the checkout line. There were so many items I needed/ wanted and the prices were quite reasonable that I simply couldn't resist. For ex: Butterball Honey Roasted Turkey Breast 2,1lb packages $6.99; Hebrew National Hot Dogs 4,12oz packages wrapped together as one $10.49, Bush's Baked Beans 28oz can $1.99 The more I roamed, the more I found.
The old adage, "Never go grocery shopping when you're hungry" applies here because I was and I did. But that doesn't take away from the fact that there were many good deals to be had at Smart & Final.
The store is so large and walking for me is so painful due to an Arthritic knee and hip, that I was quickly becoming fatigued. I had the good fortune, however, of locating a very nice, young lady who was EXTREMELY HELPFUL in locating items I couldn't find. When it came to checkout, she was my cashier as well.
I WISH I had her name so I could post it and give her the recognition she deserves for being such a wonderful representative for Smart&Final.
This store is clean, friendly, and convenient but is often out of stock of the primary items that I go there for (Martinelli's regular & sparkling apple juice). Once again I left this S&F empty handed.
Even though the CHECK OUT LINE went all the way to the back of the store, let me tell you "it went by super fast". I give it "2 Thumbs up& a High 5"
The place is good, the quality good, I give this qualification because the machine couldn't read my card and I try several times.
Everything was still nicely stocked up for being kind of late at night. It was fast check out also for purchasing a lot of items for a party
Staff friendly and helpful. Good selection. Don't have to buy bill sized, but does have if you want to. Large parking lot.
I use to go to Costco and spend over $300.00 dallors Twice a month. Now I go to Smart Final, Great place to shop for grocers and great prices and i spent less
Great prices and most of all clean store.does get busy but it's just like any other store.friendly and helpful staff.
Free parking lot. Not too noticeable from Mason Avenue but they have to driveway entrance exit. Funniest help to get your through the checkout line fast.
They have food to purchase the people are nice
Tip, don't buy the smart and final pesto sauce it's nasty the Rana sauce at Wal-Mart is the best, better than Trader Joe's
I've been shopping at this location for the past year. They have very competitive prices for good quality items. Customer service is excellent.
I recommend going early in the morning and best the rush. Lines are reasonable. I mainly go for the produce. Decent selection, good prices.
A Like to go to this Place Because you find wherever you need and people nice to helping you and if it's a long line they call other cashier
Nice folks get them the fourth. Prices are in line with other discount grocery store s in the area. Good selection of bulk foods as well as the service type goods one originally went to s&f to get.
LIke most Smart and Final Extras, each one is unique in its own way. I do come here when I am en-route or just passing by. Usually I am driving Mason because I am going to Kaiser.and Mason is the main street that I take back home and to the hospital. It's just a street I am more connected with. Don't ask. But, when I do make my rounds, it's comforting to me.that I don't have to make any other additional routes to a Smart and Final. It's on my way home which makes it more convineint.
Big store, clean and well organized. They have almost everything, even International food section. I used to buy Chicken Kiev (in the box of 6) and they were really good, but unfortunately they changed the vendor, so I tried once and that wasn't good. Time to time they have good sales.
They have every thing I need and the associates are helpful and friendly. Their prices are competitive and the store is neat and clean.
Robbed in the store of my cell phone. Employees could care less. No cameras, no security, you're not safe here! Keep your belongings and your loved ones close.
Quick service, i notice they are focused on workplace safety. They had an stretching time for the staff around 6am. When it is busy, they open extra registers to get the customers out. Fresh food and reasonable prices
