A decent place. Only 6 courts are available, and usually crowded. Don’t have much options here in San Diego like Bay Area where we used to play in places with more than 15 courts. Love the fingerprint court booking and quality courts.

Recently started seeing a lot of food inside the premise. Not sure people started ordering food and getting inside while playing badminton or because of long waits

Decent place, I’ve been going there for the past 4 months. The front desk people aren’t that friendly, but I didn’t face any issues like others pointed out. The place may be less professional than badminton areas in Bay Area; when you enter, some people need to do fingerprint scanning, and some don’t, it’s pretty random. The court signup system crashes a lot these days, and it creates a big mess near the computer. The place doesn’t feel very welcoming to new people; I have often seen people remove their names from the court at the last minute because of the skill difference/ because they don’t know them. I wish there was a better system to match people. I like that they have some gym equipment. Please do something with the door near the front desk, only one person can enter through them. Overall, the place could do so much more.

Pathetic place. Got there at 10: 05pm and their door was closed even though people were still playing inside. There was an asian girl sitting at the front desk doing absolutely NOTHING who saw me trying to get in but refused to even acknowledge me or have the courtesy to say that the place is closed or they can't let me in for the first few mins only to tell me much later that I'll be banned if my friends let me in. Talk about putting high school kids at the front desk who don't even know how to talk to people. The place runs because people pay money and the least they can do is train front desk how to talk to people. Definitely not renewing my membership again.

The place is okay.not the best but there's not a lot of options in San Diego area.

Con:
This place lacks of A/C, so it gets super stuffy and hot during summer days.

The lights on the ceiling is super bright and not curved to an angle. Your eyes will be blinded when looking up for the shuttlecock.

Only has 7 courts, gets crowded during busy hours.

Pro:
It closes when the last person is out. So you get more playing time during late night.

Has cold water to keep you hydrated.

The only private badminton gym that's not a rec center or school in San Diego.

Good reservation system and reasonable price for memberships/daily visits

Horrible place, front desk guys are so mean. Me and my friends had a terrible experience waiting there to check in. If you have low self esteem and are ready for some insults - Smash is the right place. They ask u to wait for an hour to check in and ask you to leave after such a long wait. If you ask the reason - They start talking rude. Not just lost interest in Smash, also lost interest in badminton itself.

Worst place! Front desk guys are so rude. Receptionists talk to the customers in the worst possible manner. Try not wasting your time going to this place, you will lose interest in the game itself. U hardly get a court to play, after paying a lot of money and waiting there for more than an hour.

I would personally not recommend anyone to go to this place. The guys at front desk are so mean and rude. The way they address the people visiting the place is horrible. I visited this place with my friends to play today and the guys at the front desk never gave the right answers to our questions and also they were mean in their words. We just avoided the confrontation but I suggest anyone reading this review to save your time visiting this place.

I had a horrible experience when I went there to play with my friends. The front desk asked us comeback after an hour as the tournament will end by that time. After waiting, they just said they are not allowing people to play. One guy was very rude to convey that message. If you don’t want to answer your customers in a right way do not maintain a business. BAD PLACE, I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

Good place to play!
There's no bike parking stand so prepare accordingly if you're biking here

I love going to this place every evening! Price for a couple I feel it’s worth, love their computer system for reserving courts which allows playing with others. Too crowded obviously but good to go early to get to the courts!

Very bad experience with the front desk guys, never going back there again. Try avoiding going to this place.

It's not even remotely worth it. The lighting in the big room is terrible and there is no air conditioning or ventilation. There is also almost no room for bystanders to sit. You pay $10 to play for 30 minutes and you're probably going to have to wait for an hour to get a court.

I went for first time. Nobody wanted to play with me. I am beginner but been playing a little while. Would be great if they offered a new member night or some kind of round Robin to introduce new folks.facility seems adequate.

Checked this place out with friends. Admission at $10 is a bit pricey imo but what can you do. I love their computer system for reserving courts. Allows for players to play with others. I can see the issue of over crowding a thing.

It was very hot and humid since there is no air conditioning and they cannot have fans because of the movement of the birdies. Other than that, I really enjoyed playing badminton.

Always too crowded, expect to wait at least around an hour before you can get a court. It has no air conditioning and zero ventilation, and is hot all the time, especially in summer. Constantly hot and crowded, not worth the price.
