Smilin Dogs, San Carlos CA

This is a horrible place to bring your family (dogs) unless your sick and into abusing animals. I'll have you know, animal abuse is a federal crime

Our two Alaskan Malamutes love going to Smilin Dogs! After trying a couple different places, Smilin Dogs has been our favorite for daycare and boarding since 2022. Our youngest pup knows where he’s going as soon as we drive down the street and gets so excited to meet up with all his friends. And our oldest loves all the pets/attention she gets! The staff is so kind to our dogs and responsive to all of our requests. Big thanks to when they took our dogs for a last minute boarding request when I went into labor:)

Update: my now 3 year old dog still loves it here! It's nice to have a place you can trust with people who love your dog when you leave town or just for the day.

My puppy lives coming here, he doesn't even want to get in the car to go home. The people who work here are friendly and they love dogs. This is a great way to socialize your dog and get them some exercise when you have a busy day.

Hannah and a red-haired guy (sorry I forgot) were open, friendly and informative about Smilin's facilities, Kate's temperament test and her next steps to qualify for onsite and hiking activities. Kate seemed at ease in the office and with the day care dogs she met. I look forward to further contact with staff and putting Kate in their hands as a result.

My chocolate lab loves going to Smilin Dogs. He can’t get out of the car fast enough upon arrival. It’s great socially for him and very safe environment. He comes home exhausted! He has boarded there as well and has been well taken care of. Smilin Dogs handlers are always very friendly and prompt to answer the phone.
