15Cool spot for movie and snacks! Go don't hesitate it's great! Support local and don't be loco!
We had an awesome experience at this drive-in last week. Staff were friendly, prices are extremely reasonable for double showings, it was quiet and enjoyable!
Awesome, classic, unique experience! You tune your radio in to hear the movie! If your battery dies, dude has a jump box to start your car!
I had only one bad experience with this place playing a movie called big foot that seems like a childs movie but it was a Adult sick movie on sensuality reference a grown man doing sensuality gestures towards a small bear that insinuate a child, that was sick, then it showed people doing cocain, and showing big foot as a man rapping campers. I left the place, I was discussed that this movie was allowed to play and not even warning by the drive inn as they placed the sign to present the movie. I will not return since they don't care for children being flashed these type of movies. I had my 4 year old grandson with me when I saw this play and I quickly left. Terrible people who played this movie. Children where watching. Shame on you.
Had such a good time at Smith Drive in. Watching 2 movies under the star lit sky. 2 movies for $10 a person. Well worth it. Snack bar with so many things to choose from. From the general snacks of popcorn and soda they also have hot dogs, candy and pretzels. Had such a good experience. Not my first time and who doesn't enjoy the nostalgia of drive-ins. Mens and women's restrooms are well kept. So if youre looking for an evening out with the family this is a must.
So grateful they have opened again. Cash to get in-10 dollars a piece. Cash only entry. Family fun great movies
Glad the place is open again. It’s been a rough 2 years without them. Always enjoy taking the family up here for an outdoor movie experience.
The Drive in is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Ticket booth is cash only, opens at 7: 45, and tickets are $10 a person. Children 4 and under are free. Sound is heard on your car radio or any portable radio you bring, on 89.1 FM. Snack bar is reasonable priced and takes cards.
This family must be dedicated to the community San Bernardino county is not on my nice guys list, but I am glad to know the determination of this family to provide for us and the military families here is strong! They didn't have to upgrade, but it is an important thing here in poodunck land. Lot's of military families needed an affordable alternative to take the family out and have fun! <3 This is a fine and noble community friendly family that wants to make life more fun in "stumps". I love these people. This was not a small feat of overcoming obstacles! Thank you Smith's ranch! <3
It's been years since we have been to the drive in.it was great the prices the staff the messages on the bathroom doors in female bathrooms was quite funny as well.highly recommend going to it
We watched two movies here while visiting Twentynine Palms during our road trip of the West Coast. We were here several years ago in pre-COVID days. Lovely old time outdoor drive-in. We don't have many of these in Australia so was a treat to visit this. Sad it's now temporarily closed and hope they open again for the local community to enjoy again.
Really miss the drive in experience. Please open already. Today my daughter is 14. And she only wants to come to the drive in. Are you permanently closed? Its begining to seem so. Uhhh
Of everything in this City that should be open its the Drive in Movie. We are in our automobiles with distance. And they can control the entrance numbers into the snack shop. Open Open Open PLEASE!
Grew up there in the 60's and 70's. My brothers and I hung out here. Snuck our friends in in our car trunks. Great food and prices then. Had a small playground under the screen to play on till the cartoons started. Always showed cartoons before the movies. Enjoy it cause drive ins are getting extinct.
So I've never been to a drive in theatre so I guess you can say this was a bucket list spot lol. There was lots of parking and and the screen was seeable from all sides and angles. As far as sound goes it was perfect over the 89.1 FM radio station. If you're like me and you have day time running lights on your vehicle, the people there are going to ask you to turn off your vehicle. They provide you with a free radio so you can keep the sound going. The customer service was great, some of the people in line knew the owner by name and he was very friendly to me being I'm a newbie lol. The restrooms were very clean and smelled just the same. The only gripe I have is the road leading to the theatre, it's a bit bumpy but once you get past it, it's a nice smooth dirt road and you just pull into a spot. I'd highly recommend checking this spot out. It's $5 bucks and you get to see two movies. We saw Sonic and Dr. Dolittle, both were great movies. And they played on time, with no issues. I'm going back and hopefully you check this spot out for yourselves lol.
