Smug's Pizza, Arcata CA

I used to love going to Smugs with my friend Wesley. We lived at the end of 10th and Q and we would just walk on up there. But back then the slices were $1.25 and maybe $1.50. Delicious pizza I highly recommend it. And then if anyone wants to open a Pizza by the slice joint with me I’m game! I want to serve some beer with it too, so we would have to get a beer license.

Just had Smug’s today after visiting 20 years later. It was the best when I lived here 99-01 and still is!

The price is good and the is greater! I got 1/2 & 1/2 Carnivore and Herbivore, and the Herbivore went first!

I went to Arcata in 2003 and ate here. I loved the pizza so much that I still remember this place til this day. Can't wait to be able to come back some day and get another slice!

I got a pizza here and it tasted good. The more I ate the less hungry I was. When I started the pizza eating I was super hungry. Then after a while eating I was satisfied. This pizza satisfied me, I was satisfied by this pizza

My midsove Smugs Cheese and pepperoni pizza, and we always have to get 2 full pizzas everytime. They love them that much and my boys can eat espailly pizza!

Good pizza but be aware their online prices are not accurate. A 16 inch one topping pizza is $21 not $16 like it says on their website.

This place has the best pizza! It is known for cheap pizza by the slice, but the pizza itself is actually my favorite in Humboldt. I love their crust. It's perfectly delicious! Not too hard or too soft. The toppings they use and the sauces are very high quality. They also sell cookies made in house and drinks in bottles or cans. It's more of a grab-and-go place, not a sit-down restaurant, so keep that in mind when you call in an order. It's well worth it to buy a whole pie and they are perfectly willing to make each quarter of the pizza different. We like to order the a variety of toppings and let the pizza chefs get creative. We've been regulars at the Eureka location for years. The last time I went to the Arcata location, I was very impressed with the food and the service. The McKinleyville one is quite good as well.

Its been a competitive pizza market here in Arcata for all of my time staying in the area. Smugs doesnt skimp. Smugs doesnt sell wimpy slices. Smugs isn't the best in town, but if youre going to order from Dons, Apd, Pauls, or the Jam, reconsider dropping by Smugs. Custom orders by the slice.

Awesome prices, even better crust, and the people that work there are always so nice and helpful, smug's is my go to pizza place.
