Cool little spot but could use some remodeling and updates. Burger and fries, ice cream sundae were delicious. Bathroom needed lots of attention.no soap. Staff did not add soap but instead closed it.

Food is not worth waiting 45 min and $12 for a burger that tough as leather with no fries or drink.cost me $60 for my family and it was gross.oh and definitely don't order the bbq chicken sandwich it was globs of bbq sauce and a small chicken breast.it's going to piss you off don't come here

Been going to Sno-Flake since I was 15. I'm now 76. After all those years of getting after-dinner frosty cones, good food, and caring service, starting this summer 2023, none of those positives exist! So very sad. They closed at 6pm, they don't remember to turn their OPEN sign off so consequently longtime customers driving on Hwy 50 pull in and discover they are closed actually closed. This has happened to so many locals and tonight when I knocked on the window and door at 6pm (sign said they close at 7pm), an uncaring, untrained, not interested girl said they are closed. Sno-Flake is not the fun evening spot anymore for food or a frosty!

Food was alright at most. We drove in from Sacramento and didn't quite know where we wanted to stop for lunch. My dad joked with me and said "Look it's a Tastee Freeze. " I told him "We can get soft serve here and a burger. " Lets go there.

Perhaps the first red flag was the uniforms that the kids who were working were wearing. One older kid had on a crop top and a nose piercing. She might not have been a kid, but perhaps a young adult. The place was run by teenagers. It wasn't until the end that an adult came out to get us our soft serve because my dad and I had said "Lets order the food first and then come back for soft serve. "

Starting with the food, I got the Barbecue Chicken Sandwich. It was alright. My dad got a burger. I don't know which one and he agreed it was alright. We ordered the large fries and it was small at best and for $2 more, a rip off. It took nearly 40 minutes for our food to arrive and we only ordered 3 things. Oh and the fries tasted like the oil was old.

The service is pretty much nonexistent. People walk out to the window shouting #1, #12, etc in no order. It was hard to hear when our order was called.

When we finished our meal, we walked back inside and waited in line. Luckily I had used the bathroom before, which had no paper towels when my dad went and no soap. When I walked into the bathroom, there was just a massive roll of paper towels not in the dispenser and a bottle of almost empty Dawn Dish Soap. My dad asked the lady at the counter "Could you bring some paper towels into the bathroom and some soap. " To which she responded with "There is soap in the bathroom, you just have to push on the dispenser real hard. " The dispenser was clearly empty.

I ended up having to go to a different restaurant to use the bathroom because I guess after a certain timeframe they received so many complaints that they stuck a piece of tape on the door that said "Bathroom is closed. "

Soft serve though was good, but not great.
If you are looking for a place to eat, just make the ten minute drive over towards Stateline or down the road to Sprouts/ the bar and grill next door.

Was very excited to have a soft serve cone but their computer was down and they couldn’t figure out how to sell me a cone without their computer. When I asked if I could just pay cash, they got very angry. Won’t ever go back. Unfortunate

Oh my gosh, where to start? !
My husband and I brought our kids here to get a quick takeout ice cream cone after visiting the lake.
Hubby went inside for us, and was first in line for ordering.
He ordered 3 vanilla ice cream cones, paid and waited. 2 other parties arrived after him and made to-go food orders which looked much more complicated than just ice cream.
Well, the other customers food arrived and they left happy. Meanwhile, hubby was still there waiting. I had the kids in the car waiting anxiously…
Hubby asked the girl where his simple order was and she admitted they totally forgot!
She quickly had it made, and it came out wrong! They made ice cream swirls (with chocolate mixed into the vanilla). Finally, hubby gave it back and got a refund.
So it was all for nothing.
When I asked him why he didn’t ask for a manager, he said there was no responsible adult in sight; the place is run by a bunch of stoned kids!

Not all it's cracked up to be. Not sure if it's because the employes are high AF but the wait time is nuts. Never open it seems like. Random days and times they will be open.

Super adorable place! My husband swears this was the best peanut butter shake he has ever had! Burgers were legit! Ingredients were fresh!

Terrible food and even worse service. When we did finally get our food some of it was missing and incorrect considering it's more than 20$ for a burger meal I would hope that the food would stand up to it but sadly did not. Very disappointing and wouldn't recommend going to.

Just the worst place I ate after a 2 and 1/2 week road trip across the country.
The hamburgers and hot dogs were totally bland. I didn't get the grilled onions that I asked for. My buddy's hot dog came with no fixings on it even after he specifically asked for everything when asked by the guy at the cashier. When he saw the dog and asked for a hot dog with all the fixings on it, the guy said "You have to ask for that when you order it" and he was just rude.

Tables were freaking dirty, bathroom is a wreck and had no soap or paper towels. The place is a dump.

I recommended we stop here at the end of your trip thinking it'd be like the old days. In 1978 79 I lived just down the street from this place, and it was the go-to place for great hamburgers and ice cream. Not anymore.

I was really disappointed in this place as i thought I would be grabbing a quick bite to eat but unfortunately this restaurant was so slow i waited for so long and wasted my vacation here

Literally the worst burgers my wife and I have EVER had.

This place used to be fantastic. Clearly not the case anymore. Tyaey are out of everything. (should have been a sign to not to order, my mistake). Flat, warm sodas, stale burger buns, burgers overcooked to death, exact change only, the snotty rude female working the counter. She was very concerned that I raisedtge table umbrella so I wouldn't have to duck, claimed if it was broken from wind "I would be responsible" bwahaha. Go concentrate on the food as it clearly needs attention in ALL categories.

Literally took me 1 hour to get 1 hamburger. These guys are slower than a turtle, you will waste your whole vacation because these guys will not be able to make your food and your lunch will become dinner. When father asked him how long he was very rude and he said to keep waiting, atleast tech your staff how to talk to older people. If you are in Lake Tahoe eat anything else instead of this time waste

We stopped yesterday to grab some lunch.
The last time we came here, the food and drinks were great.
This time, a lot of items were no longer available on the menu. They could only accept a debit or credit card, no cash.
I ordered the Tahoe burger and was disappointed. The bun was stale, the mushrooms tasted old, the lettuce was wilted, and the tomatoes had been out too long. The ranch was bitter, the ketchup had a weird taste, and sodas were flat.
My husband had the western burger and had a similar experience saying that it didn't taste good. Something was off with the BBQ sauce. Don't order lunch here.

Great drive in food. Large portions but they don’t offer many toppings for ice cream as they were out of several items. Loved the chili cheese fries though!

Didn't get what I ordered, the service was slow and the food was really quite poor. The employee was combative when I asked for the hot dog that I had ordered
